BC's in the park

how do the scratch BC's handle the park, i want a fatter ski so i can hit more of the back country stuff, but i also love doing the park. im looking for a ski that is good in both of those places.

what now.... ?

depending on what size scratch bc you own/buy, you might get a waist that's as narrow as 86 mm(176), because Rossi has different sidecuts on different size skis, to keep turn radius constant. That being said, 86-90 mm at the waist is not that fat. Tip and tail will be considerable fatter than a 'park-only' ski, but that's ok. You'll probably have to get used to it a little, and pipe riding might take some more practice(fatter ski=slower edge to edge, unless you stick some risers on them>STUPID) but you'll get it. Rails might be a little easier, but remember this: 99% rider, 1% skis, or thereabouts.

the foam core though, that is a total turn off for me, sounds like they will only last about 3-4 months depening on how you ride them. im going to demo some this season so we'll see

what now.... ?

really, ive heard different, maybe its just cuz everyone has a different opinion. or were you talking about the BC's

what now.... ?

The BCs aren't even really a powder ski, the Gotamas are a true pow ski, with a waist of 105 I think. I was considering getting the BCs for park and freeriding, but I got a better deal on some TMs.

^that makes me laugh....I demoed some last season...holy crap, worst ski i've ever ridden. The Airstyle NT...with the squarish tip....that flows through powder like a cross country ski

flatspinner, obviously you never skied the blizzard twin tips. wow those things are a joke. about as stiff as a race stock slalom ski, as slow edge to edge as the fattest ski out there, they are super heavy, and the tail it pointed...

blizzard didnt even make twin tips this year, they will come back with a better one im sure

im either very smart, or incredibly stupid
