BC jump size

Hi friends.

the other week i bought "Thats it thats all" on itunes and it was really dope. then this week i got three new 09 ski movies (L1, rage, and pbp). I couldnt help but notice the difference in the scale of the bc jumps. all of travis rices jumps are fucking huge; like his small ones are equal to l1 big ones. why dont the good pros step up their game and build some bigger money booters in the BC? i think itd be sick to see some skiers man up cause rice makes them all look like pussies in his movies. Has anyone else noticed this too?
 
That's pretty lame. No wonder people think snowboardings cooler. But watch Dylan Hoods segment in Under the Influence. They built like 120 foot booter. Someone needs to step it up in size this winter.
 
I bought Thats it thats all, I am literally not going to purchase a ski movie because of it. I don't need any other visual stimulation.
 
its not sheer size, its more of the creativeness of the hit that is important to me. like in ski porn when they're jumping up and like onto that cliff thing. they like went right past the camera man who was chilling on the peak of the step up's landing and then they landed way down on the other side.....

 
lets be real. travis rice makes every skier in the industry look like a pussy except for seth and a select few. TRice is the dirtiest most innovative, ballsiest, talented dude to ever slide on snow. TRice can land anything anywhere no matter how sketchy. he hucks with style and shreds the gnar. He is tanner hall except bigger and stronger so he can go bigger and withstand bigger hits..
 
I think I like more style and creativity than just sheer size. Remember a camera angle can make something look much bigger or smaller than it actually is. If you want someone to step it up, then go out with some buds and build a huge bc booter and hit it. You need to watch a Hunting Yeti webisode and see what Pollard does. Not hitting the biggest jumps, but he's innovative and really smooth, one of the best, if not the best switch powder skier alive. In one webisode there's a really cool cornice wall ride. I think it mught change your perspective.
 
well lets see thats it thats all had a huge budget and every jump almost especially the one was built by a group of people that were just hired to build a jump, not to even session it with some input from travis rice. Every other ski and snowboard movie has there jumps built by the athletes and without a crew of 8 people or a budget to build a giant booter in Alaska limits them. Jumps like that will come in the ski industry if more money poors into the industry hopefully.
Thats what i think.
 
it doesnt cost money to build a HUGE kicker. it just takes a few people a day or 3. it costs money to fly around in a heli and such and make the jump SUPER legit, but i do see the point that skiers usually go half of the size of the top notch boarders. except pep in 1242
 
well l1p jumps arent usually all that big compared to other companies. in tbc they hit some big fucking jumps
 
i really hate to admit it but this thread is truth, i'm not saying skiers are pussy or anything like that, i am a skier but travis rice pretty much brought shame on every other athlete on snow alive
 
it seems as if the BC jumps have been getting smaller in ski movies every year. whenever i watch older movies the jumps and gaps are wayyy bigger usually.
