Are there any good smaller colleges in the BC area? I've looked at the Universty of BC, but its pretty damn big. Are there any other good schools around there? Any liberal arts schools?

Thanksgiving is kind of a weird holiday. I mean, we're celebrating the one time in history we got along with the Native Americans. Its like a date rapist saying 'We should concentrate on the great dinner we had before the evening started.'
 
capilano college...north van and squamish...

you do the fall on campus in n. van, then your winter courses out of squamish...25mins south of whistler...then you get a student visa and your set to work

work to live...not live to work.

^that's a pretty sweet plan. You could also try Simon Fraser University, do a full course load in the fall, take 2-3 during the winter(that's 2-3days a week of class when properly scheduled) and then 2 courses during summer if you're still in van. Lots of time to ski, lots of school. You can even just forget about going to school during the winter and do fall/summer only. www.sfu.ca

But I'm seriously biased when it comes to my opinion on schools in the lower mainland.

what about colleges for the um..not so 'higher standing' student ;), i got a cum. 2.4 gpa in my US college right now..i'm lookin for a school with biological sciences, not to expensive, and not just for kids with high grades...that sfu u need like a 3.4gpa to get in

 
^um, community college maybe? but they probably don't offer what you're looking for. I dunno, SFU just raised their entrance requirements by a significant amount, UBC's are high, so you might be outta luck for around here.

I go to UVic, hard to get into, and hard to get skiing once you're in. actually, I won't even suggest it except that its a really sweet school, small campus, and nice city.

I think minimum is 80, but you'd need to double check that. I took the backdoor in, transferred from the University of Guelph. Transfer in was WAY easier, marks wise.

And fuck, school is so overrated anyways. I mean, your degree in liberal arts, whether it be sociology, english, or communication(just like me!) just enables you to think interesting thoughts while bagging other people's groceries...Move to Whistler, that's what you really wanna do anyways.
