Hey guys...
So I lived in Mammoth last season and just started working out here in the bay area at GoPro. Living in Half Moon Bay at the moment and know absolutely no one. This is sort of a plea for friends in the bay area plus finding people to ski Tahoe this winter! I have a pass for Mammoth again, but will probably find a tahoe pass and will be driving out there each weekend.
In short - need some friends..badly. I've had great success with skier friends. fyi I'm 23, and helped run the USC ski team for the past 5 years. Now i am sad and lonely
 
I'll be at Squaw most school breaks and whenever I'm home (going to school in Seattle) So if you end up getting a pass there you can hit me up and we can ski together if you want.
 
Ha. You're a year late. Last year, you could have caught a ride with me all the time, but now I'm in Oregon.
I'm still only 5 hrs from Tahoe and have heaps of friends there, so I'll be hitting it up quite a bit.

 
I ski Alpine alot and I live in Palo Alto. Hit me up if you wanna share rides/ski. I also surf alot in your area. Is GoPro based out of HMB?
 
Yo, sweet! Yeah GoPro is right at the south end of half moon bay on the 1. I have been trying to get into surfing but still suck at it.
 
i'm going to berkeley this year so i'm gonna try to ski some up at tahoe. the ski club at usc was part of the reason i applied there.
 
I'm in the east bay... If you can make it to Walnut Creek or so, I can get you the rest of the way if I'm going on that weekend...
 
I'll be in back home in San Rafael for a month during winter break from school...I plan on riding tahoe a bunch and down to carpool.

Also, how did you land a gig at GoPro?? And can you get me a job? haha
 
I just moved here as well. I bought an alpine pass and will be going up every weekend. Right now I'm in Alameda but am going to move to SF in feb. I also need some people to shred with.
 
schweet. And GoPro job was literally just them seeing my vids online. And depending on what you do, and how good you are, I could actually get you pretty close to getting a job.. GoPro is hiring almost non-stop. Still need 2-3 more video editors to work with me!
 
dude that's sick go pro hired you. All ur edits this year were dope. I live up north (sebastopol), and I drive up to northstar every weekend. I take a different route than you do, but I'll holla if I see you up there.

dude, half moon bay is so incredible. how far is it to skiing from there? i want to live in the san francisco area after college in utah.
 
I'm in San Mateo... Just swooped up an AWD savanna for my company.... Gonna be rocking that beast to squaw all year

Dang that's one of the sickest things I've ever read on NS. Take the seats out and you have MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF SPACE TO STORE CRAP or put the seats in and PUT MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF PEOPLE AND CRAP INTO THE CAR and AWD BIG BALLER SHOT CALLER ON THE MOUNTAIN WHEN THE SNOW IS FALLING

What's the company anyway? Moving around disabled/old people from the retirement home to the hospital?
 
Man. There are so many more bay area skiers from like 3 years ago when I was rollin down there all the time...

good job bay.
 
i didnt know GoPro was from the bay! that's sick! i'm originally from Palo Alto but go to school in Colorado now. I wish i knew kids that skied when i was in the bay!
 
film, edit, make commercials, do some web shiz, play with technology, help with firmware, etc. my official title is 'production artist'. It's a lot of fun
 
haha i'd love to work at gopro! im actually studying film production right now! but its a tough call wether to move back to the bay or up to Breck after school haha
 
I'm trying to get mass trips up to Tahoe this winter. Getting the Sierra/Northstar season pass, its a pretty good deal and both are cool places. Sierra is small but my favorite. I'm over in Pleasant Hill, right off 680 (i can hear it right now)
 
Ohh, and checked out the SkullyBoom stuff. Pretty legit, love the van. "liked" you on facebook. Would be cool to check it out more, I was gonna roll over to that Coyote Park with my girl some time and watch SFO plains.
 
I hail from the valley of burning grapes, or Napa. I try to get up just about every weekend, so if any of you northbay kids are down for carpooling hit me up. Also, what do you guys think of the idea of a bay area NS preseason bbq? cause I'm down to kick it with skiers for once, it seems we're a rare breed around these parts
 
nope, I went to new tech/napa high, graduated 2 years ago. I do know some kids from Justin though. nice little overprivileged catholic establishment
 
anyone gonna be going to the TGR premier in the city, Nov 3? free alpine tickets and free admission to the snowbomb event, which i went to last year and is SO dope, tons of suupper discounted gear (read: 75% off last year's gear). maybe rep NS at the theatre?
 
I'm going to go to the Nov. 8th premier in San Francisco (Palace of Fine Arts, I think). Same dealios, but closer to home.
 
just fyi ... the TGR premier in SF ("the city") is on november 3rd, not the 8th. i'll be at the 6:30 show. look out for the newschoolers yellow lanyard! solid chance that it'll be me.
 
no problem- haha i freaked out at first cause i had already made a bunch of plans to go with friends and stuff on the 3rd.
