Beware...Armada has pressed a bunch of last years AR5's with this years graphics. Namely, the 160 of last year is being repressed with this years grpahic and looks like this years 161.

We got a pair in today for a pair of last years warrentied ar5's and said, hmm, it looks narrower...sure enough, it wasnt a new AR6, it was an old AR5 with a new topsheet.
 
skimasterflex said sierra is supposed to get a bunch of those to sell at a lower price....
 
uh untill I talk to a few people that i get armada info from im gona have to not believe you. Or you could show me some pics of the ski with a ruler to show that its too narow
 
so they are warrentied skis with a new topsheet? it's not like they sent you them to sell in your shop...one of my friends got his skis warrentied with graphic blemishes, it's not like it's a huge deal...armada seems to be a really "understanding" company warrenty wise so who cares
 
OMG the 161 is an AR5! Who cares, it is a 161 I don't see why the 161 should have the same dimensions as a 181 anyways.
 
As long as they aren't sold as AR6's, I think this is awsome of Armada. What's wrong with get your skiies warrentied with next years graphics?
 
Yeah, who really cares...I think it's a cool thing for them to do for kids who sent in thier skis for warrenty, I mean, if you sent in your AR5's, and they came back with this years graphic, you'd be stoked. As long as they aren't trying to sell them in shops as the AR6, no harm done.
 
im pretty sure you guys are missing the point....unless they told them specifically what they were getting, that is still ULTRA shady of armada to pull that shit. i'm sure the kid thought he had AR6's. what if he was going to buy a new pair of AR6's after his AR5's got warrantied? thats BULLSHIT.
 
I doubt armada would do that shit, considering it is skier run, it seems way too sketchy to be true. Perhaps they will sell them as ar5s with this years shit. That is awesome. as long as they are stated as that. Then good on them for not wasting all of that material.
 
He never said armada sent the skis back saying they were AR6's, all he said was that they were sent back as warrentied AR5's. This isn't shady at all, you guys are just blowing it up for nothing
 
i wasnt saying it was sketchy...im just saying watch out, cuz if people are getting them warrentied, they may try to pass them off as NEW ar6's when they arent.
 
well if you guys warrantied ar5s then you are gonna get ar5's back. They never tried to pass it off as something else and i dont believe they well cause armada is chill. They just pressed it with the new graphic to save money. They were already making skis with those graphics so it would be cheaper to use the same graphics instead of ordering the old ones again.
 
I wasnt pissed at them either...I was just telling NS'ers to watch out for people selling AR5's as AR6's. Because if you didnt have something to campare it to, you would have no idea what they were.
 
read it dude... they aren't ar6's they are ar5s with the ar6 graphics for warrenty. That's a graphics upgrade
 
But this years graphics have "AR6" printed on them on the tail. Unless it says "AR5" this is the shadiest scam ever. Especially as shops wont give a shit and just sell them as AR6s anyway.
 
while i agree its sick that warentees get new grpahics, as others have said, if it doesnt CLEARLY say ar5, kids will try and pass em off as ar6's, and that means WE, purveyors of ns, have to be careful.
 
Fine if kid's do, kid's pull little scams irregardless.

If you buy online, thats inherint risk. Armada did nothing wrong, so dont blame them for that end.

What they have done is awesome, and very sensible.
 
man last years ar5 graphics were was sicker than this years. but i dont see anything wrong with it. although i could see how it would create problems farther down the line when they are being resold used or somethin.
