Hopefully this will be of use to someone.

Ok this guide is

here to allow you to download and watch all your favourite ski edits:)

(Note: This guide will work with almost any video on the internet!)

This was written for windows users.

Right lets get started!

To make things a lot easier you need to be browsing with Mozilla Firefox.

This web browser is available free here:

Mozilla Firefox v3.5.1 7.7Mb

http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.5.1&os=win&lang=en-US

once it’s downloaded install it!

1# Open Firefox and click here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006

This here is an add-on/plugin for firefox called VideoDowloadHelper v4.5.

What this allows us to do is save any video from NS to your computer hard drive.

On this page you want to click on Add to Firefox:

Once you click this button you will get a pop-up like this:

After 3 seconds the install button will go solid. When it does click on it.

It will then start the install and once it's finished it will want to restart firefox. So click restart:

When

Firefox restarts you will now have a new symbol next to your address

bar. It looks like three coloured balls stuck together.

Now head on over to Newschoolers.com and load up the page with your ski edit you want to download:
nwsh02.jpg

When you click play on the video you will notice that the symbol which appeared earlier is now coloured and moving:)

Next to the symbol is a down arrow click it to get a drop down box appearing:
nwsh04.jpg

The name will not make sense. Click On the name, in this case it would be 86889693_104.flv

Once thats been clicked a new box will appear and ask you where you would like to save the video:

nwsh05.jpg

Myself, I create a new folder for several edits:) Click save!

Once its downloaded it should be in your folder now:
nwsh06.jpg

Rather than have crazy names you can rename the file to a more revelvant but

IMPORTANT!!! make sure it still has either .flv or .mp4 or .avi etc etc

this is the video format. If changed it wont work!!!

So I change mine to "Jon Brogan Tease Edit.flv"

Now you have the video saved on your computer and can play it.

If its in the format .flv then you might need to download a new player

to watch it!

VLC Player is pretty good for that:

i dont understand why you want to download videos in the first place? to take up empty drive space? to watch on the 3" ipod screen? to watch on your computer in the same quality as they are hosted on the internet?
