what are the tricks you guys think allow you to really progress and allow you to learn other tricks more easily?

in that order

backflip, frontflip, 540. After that your progression should increase exponentially.

agreed but i would say a cork 540, not 720

haha idk backflip was the first trick i learned. so simple. id say learn a backflip and 360 first, then 5, then 7. be able to ride switch and then work on switch 3's and 5's. then try and cork stuff.

i just find that the way you set a cork 7 is alot more natural feeling, but its just preference i suppose

360's are the most important trick. If you know how to take off properly and do a good 360 and land forward you'll be able to do just about any trick well.
