i just recently got drafted into an independent league the washington wild things... and since im now using wooden bats i was wondering if there are any good pin tar brand names out there... i know of the rawlings big stick and the tiger stick... i was wondering if anyone knows of any other good brands of pine tar

Rawlings. Did you get the speech about the grain in the bat and what not? And don't be an idiot and put pine tar on your helmet. I recommend putting the pine tar on above your grib then letting the shit come off your gloves onto the handle, as you bat. Versus just putting pine tar straight onto the handle.

Also don't use too much

also your going to eat through gloves

also wood bats are fucking awesome.

thanks for the advice but iv used pine tar before i know how to put it on... i was just wondering if anyone knows of any different brands that make it.. besides rawlings and tiger stick, those both work amazing i was just wondering
and i use the rawlings BIG STICK not the liquid garbage

you just got drafted and your asking newschoolers about pine tar? am i the only one who sees something wrong with this picture?

The strength of the wood is based on what kind of wood it is, but if you have shitty inconsistent grain its going to break no matter what its made out of.

Im a Mizuno Maple fan.

Liquid is the only way to go.

I don't care who you are, if there is pine tar on your helmet Im going to stick bottle caps and whatever else I can find on it.

I had tried it and could never get past the slightly slippery, elmer's glue stick feeling it caused. Grab an old hand towel and squirt some of the liquid stuff onto it. Work it hard onto the handle above your tape, work it softly/not too much onto your tape. Boom.

that could be the problem when i used it i didnt tap my bat before it... and it never dried it was just slippery ill try that thanks

i dont like murucci at all a kid on my team is sponsered by them so our team had like 5 of there bats and ive never liked them

WHAT?

Dude corking your bat is the only way to win, everybody else is doing it, if you're not, then you're a loser.

i never broke my murucci bats i had 2 of them for a year and a half now and never ever broke one thats why there my top choice for wooden bats

i could say the same thing about my mizuno bamboo bat ive never broken that either its all your personal preference

Roid out. Cork bat. Get tan. Gain 50 pounds; And whatever the fuck else it takes to get to be the best god damn baseball player the world has ever seen. Don't be a pussy. Nobody likes watching a little bitch suck at baseball.

Marucci bats are the best. I use the AP5 and love it. If you are in the market for a new wood bat, I would recommend it for sure. As for pine tar, I don't really pay much attention to what type I use at all.
