my bases are starting to get pretty brown i guess from rails and stuff

is there anything i should/can do about this?

Iron in some warm temp (yellow) wax and then scrape and brush it off while its still warm. Warm temp wax is used often as a cleaning wax so it might help. Other than that maybe a base cleaner.

i feel like this happens more in the spring when temps are warm and rails are getting a bit sticky. specifically the 4 inch wide bars made of steel or whatever that get a bit rusty

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the rails in the spring that cause this, after only one day my new skis started getting these, but only underfoot, so I'm pretty sure it's from rails. And I'd just use base cleaner or something like that.

Any orange or citrus based cleaning stuff will do as a base cleaner, but like with any base cleaning stuff it can dry out your bases.

What I suggest is wait until the end of the season, clean them with citrus based stuff, the put a thick layer of wax on there for the summer. That way you'll have clean and not dry bases.

Or you can just not care 'cause they're afterbangs and they're meant to ride on concrete.

a lot of household cleaners are really harsh on bases.

if i were you i would just go buy some good base cleaner after the season is over and clean them with that and then apply a coat of storage wax like this man suggested.

or you could take my first piece of advice. ;-)

I'd also have to say this, don't buy line skis. Everyone that has brown on there bases tend to own line skis. Also I feel there bases are shit anyway.

jup, line skis topsheet just rips off and the base gets dirty,

but it doesen't effect the fact that they are good skis.

exactly. and they are shitty skis, I ski'd some rossi s4's and moment jibs. sorry but way better than my invaders. And the butter zones were in a better spot. Sorry to say it but Line isn't as awesome as everyone thinks.
