Barry Bonds...hate him or love him?

i searchbarred and came up with nothing and found it unusual. personally i hate baseball and everything about it. it became americas pasttime simply because it was enjoyable 60 years ago when people had less to do. but i digress

what do you guys think should happen to barry bonds? should he be in the record books? should there be an asterisk?

i ask this simply because i can't turn on hbo lately without seeing bob costas bitching about it on his 17 different shows. i don't have an opinion just because i haven't heard all the news but a lot of people haved said interesting things. chris rock for example defended the asterisk in a way saying that all the greats in the 20's, 30's, and 40's should have asterisks next to their names becuae they only played against whites and you can be damn sure there were black players back then as good as if not better than babe ruth (as an example) also the man who is credited with created the steroid for bonds says he shouldn't be penalized because there wasn't a rule against that substance at the time.

i just started this to hopefully spark some intelligent conversation
 
Hate baseball, hate Bonds....just doesn't seem like a like able guy (on top of the steroid shit of course). Gotta feel somewhat sorry but I say they give him the asterisk and stfu about it.

As I just stated in the previous post, MLB used Barry, McGwire and Sosa for the best of their interest to bring the interest back/save MLB during the home run chase by pretending they had no idea that the steroids were involved. Now they want to make an example out of them. It's common sense though that all of them used steroids and should be allowed in all the record books. The stain that was created by their names during this era will never be forgotten and there is no need for anything else to be said or done.
 
I FUCKING HATE BARRY BONDS! He's a douche. A huge douche that does steroids and lies. I can't wait till he comes to atlanta to play, because I am going to sit behind the outfield and yell at his ass all during the games. Someone needs to break his legs in half. This bitch does not deserve an asterisk. Chris Rock can suck my dick. Hank Aaron fucking earned his record. He actually earned it through hard work, not sticking a needle in his arm like someone else(as for the early baseball players, for most of them, it was out of their control, and they didn't actually cheat themselves).

Bonds doesn't deserve anything. He's just a cheater. I feel sorry for Hank Aaron that all the work he has done will be put aside for someone who just used a needle instead of weights. Baseball would be better without Bonds.

Oh and to all of you that say everyone is using steroids. Not everyone is, and even if everyone is. Hank Aaron didn't and the people(from back in the day) that are having their records broken didn't either.

i like him and hate baseball. even if he did use steroids, he still has skill and you guys cant deny it. fuck id use steroids if i played baseball, in fact im going to make un-traceable roids and give them to bonds just to piss the people off in this thread.
 
Pitchers were and are the worst steriod abusers (70% of suspensions have been pitchers). Bonds had a level playing field. Regardless, it is the eyes that make a hitter, and his are the best ever.
 
he should just admit he was/is on steroids and then more people would like him for telling the truth

if every pro athlete was on steroids then anyone could be a pro at that sport
 
i hate him b/c he is a huge douche(sp). He did steroids everyone knows that, he is also an asshole.

But what pisses me off is the SF Giants organization and the fans, who dont care if the team wins or loses, just that Barry hits a home run
 
Who cares if there's a level playing field. Hank Aaron didnt need to use steroids when he won the record. Eyes may make a good hitter, but for barry, the steroids make him a home run hitter.
 
I wouldn't care if he wasn't close to the record. The idea that Barry Bonds is even close to Hank Aaron skill wise is ridiculous. Hank Aaron got as many homeruns as juiced up Barry has, with pure skill. And the fact that he is going to be second to a cheater in the record books is pretty fucked up. Fuck Barry Bonds. Oh, and did anybody else laugh when Jason Giambi got a tumor from taking too many steroids?
 
BAROID bonds..hm, well i personally dislike him, but i dont hate him. under the steroid abuse and being a complete fag, he does have a lot of talent as a baseball player, im not gunna lie. the only reason why i wouldnt say i have a problem with him, which, in fact, i do, would be becuase in the past and present he has proved himself to be a valid hitter, and pretty much a good baseball player.
 
are you fucking kidding me? i know people on roids, and they fucking suck at baseball. just cause your on steroids doesnt mean your gonna be able to jack a ball 400ft. and make diving catches like bonds. he is a really good player without roids, all they do is help him hit it further, but he could hit the ball without them. he is still a good baseball player. your comment was retarded, just quit posting on NS...
