Barack Obama is this generations candidate

"Change that we can believe in" is all of a sudden not so cliche. If anyone is still undecided, watch his victory speech from tonights HUGE victory. Get out and vote for your primary and make your voice heard.

Also, read the Caroline Kennedy endorsement piece in the New York Times tomorrow, or online now.

true that, and also hes too young in my mind, but i think he is the "latter of all the 'evils'" i really think there is no one great in this election

no he doesnt. the media is actually making it all about race. if anything hes trying to avoid it. however, this week he did talk about race because most voters in south carolina are black.

early on in the campane he did, and ever since colin powell was asked if he was president how it would feel to be the first black president, he simply replied: "I would be the president" i have not big of fan playing the "race card"

everyone likes him because hes black. his campaign proposes change, but for the 10 minutes where i watched his speech, he never mentioned WHAT he would change. i dont care though, cuz im in canada

As for what he would change, download the blueprint.http://www.barackobama.com/issues/

As far as his race, and this goes to the other poster above as well, he has made a concerted effort not to make this a campaign based on race. In fact, it has been his opposition (read Bill Clinton) that has been bringing this into play. Dont pigeonhole Obama as the "black candidate". If you do, you wont see how much he really has to offer.

he sure can bring the change we're looking for. and he's really not that young, he's 46, 11 years over the minimum. and he doesn't use the race card at all, not once in his book does he pull it, and in none of his speeches does he pull it. it's everyone else and the media especially who pull it. and he does know how to bring the change, che

If i was american and hillary won, id probably shoot myself then ask to be buried in canada, lol but no serial obama for the win.

Maybe I haven't payed enough attention to him but I've definitely heard him bring up his diverse background too many times.

He's too politically correct because he doesn't want to alienate anyone.

I love how the sounds tell us what to like and what not to like.

Honestly, Obama is so much better than Hillary, I have no clue why republicans and democrats alike don't like him just because of that. Republicans should hope for his nomination, because then they won't have to campaign against a whiny bitch. Democrats should hope for his nomination cause he's the shit.

There is a way of preventing that. GET REGISTERED AND VOTE! Most super tuesday states (those who have primaries on feb 5th) allow voter registration up until tuesday the 29th. Get registered and support barack obama just like the other hundreds of thousands of young voters who are defining this election. It is about time to get rid of the kind of bureaucratic washington that Hillary represents. That is not what this generation wants, but the problem is that our demographic traditionally does not show up well at the polls. That is until now. The voter turnout in the democratic primaries has broken records in almost every state thus far, and for the most part it is because we are the ones that are getting out there and making our voice heard. We are sick of fighting a war that we shouldnt even be in. We are sick of seeing special interest groups run washington. We are sick of the poverty that is taking control of many areas of this country. We are sick of being the laughingstock of the international community. We have had enough of it. I know you have all heard the phrase, "if you dont vote you deserve what you get" but in this case it is extraordinarily true. If you do not vote, the 65+ year old women who think Hillary could actually effectively lead this country will take over. We cant let this happen. Find out where you have to go to get registered on monday and join this movement for real change, not the kind of "change" that all the other candidates were touting once they saw it was working for Barack.

i hate how its pretty much already decided that its going to be a democratic president...fucking bush's dumbass. but yeah i get philly radio stations, and its great how all the black people call in and say they are voting for obama, and when they are asked why they have no idea other than "because hes black" lol, but yeah i guess i'm okay with obama, i just dont want the democrats to cut off the air suply to my nutsack, aka stop me from riding my dirtbike and put up tons of other bullshit regulations.

fuck it, huckabee 4 LYFE. fucking chuck norris. the end.

to be honest, i cant even see a good republican candidate. mc cain wants to stay in iraq and be the next bush, guiliani is not going to win because he screwed up his plan, huckabee is religious and wants to bring church and state together, and romney is pretty aggressive and scary. i guess i'd only vote for romney, but his aggressiveness sometimes makes it seem like he's running a dictatorship.

blah blah blah change this change that. you fucking robots.

Of course they want fucking change we're in a war we shouldn't be in our economy is down the shitter social security is going to be a crisis people are losing jobs left and right we do need change. No canidate in their right fucking mind would be like "Yeah, I think our economy is doing fine I wont change anything about it".

i know all the candidates are talking about change, because the vast majority of the people in this nation what anything different than bush. all of them have their own plans, but obama is the only own, IMO, that can deliver true change that is really different than the other candidates. and no, not because he's black, but because he's fresh into washington and is still full of his own ideas.

I like Obama and will probably end up voting for him, but you can't say he is a generations candidate... are you saying that everyone of the newschoolers generation (meaning everyone from like 12-30 years old give or take a few) has the same political views? We wouldn't even need elections if people were all that similar.

^ not for the primaries. The delegates that are assigned to each candidate is directly proportional to the amount of votes that they received.

shut the fuck up faggot.

it may be excessive, but their's never been a more appropriate time to use the word. you're just trying to be the devil's advocate, or you're a dumbshit.

index minimum wage to inflation

provide a tax cut for the middle class

eliminate tax loopholes for huge corporations

simplify the tax code

meet with america's "enemies," people bush refused to talk with

you fail

Whether or not you like the exact word "change" or not, the fact of the matter still stands that the way things are going in Washington dont work. With the other candidate running for the nomination the exact image of old school washington politics, Barack Obama is the leader that can get america moving in the right direction back to being the amazing nation we know it is. Where I come from that is called change, but if that one word offends you I am sure that we can call it whatever you want.

that article was exactly what you are arguing against--meaningless fluff

I mentioned exactly what he plans to change. come up with an actual argument instead of running your mouth and calling people dumb fucks

by the way i completely agree about obama...hes the future for this country and is definitely the best fit for presidency right now. if hillary is president im moving to canada, whistler specifically.

yeah seems like a lot of things are beyond you

im sure i could debate you in front of all of NS and make you look like the total dipshit that you are. you have no argument besides acting intellectually superior to people. you have nothing to say except that you are really smart and other people are dumb. so congratulations, the only person you will ever convince with that type of argument is yourself
