alright heres what i meant
when graffiti started, subway trains were the main and most popular spots. the whole point was to king a line, but with skill. now, this is considered bombing, although they were using wild styles, colors and characters--piecing basically. it is considered bombing because they were getting up any way they could to king the line. but bombing, like what it is today, throw ups, tags etc. is a new branch of the original movement. thats what i meant dunn dunn. i know what im talkin about, but maybe i didnt explain clearly.
but now cope2, no one in the entirety of FOREVER can talk shit on him. hes got 30 years in the game! he kinged his first line at like 13. hes put mad work in. now i dont entirely agree with his "selling-out", doing productions for money, that kind of thing, i respect it. you know why? cause he put in work, fell off, came back and deserves the ends he has made. he has earned the respect he deserves. but banksy, to me doesnt seem like hes earned the respect that cope has. and to be honest, i dont think anything he does is funny or witty. i find it annoying. if you like him, great. but if i dont want to give him my respect, thats my thing, and you have no right to push it on me. did i try and get yall to flip on him? no.
and to you down there....saber? come on dude. do you really think i can talk shit on him? he did the biggest piece in the world. and he did it all illegally. ive seen a banksy piece on the side of a tanker, half the size, about a third of the quality....this is why he hasnt earned my respect. MSK AWR took over L.A. entirely with peices. i dont particularly like his style but, he did his thing....illegally. that is why he gets mad respect from me.
to me, graffitti only belongs in the gutter. the back alley, the rooftop, the street. not in the white gallery.
if any one else wants to talk...go ahead because i got my opinions, you got yours. they may not line up, but im not gonna change mine.
