Banshee bungee ..... thoughts on them

does anyone have one ? i'm thinking of picking one up for the winter . If anyone doesn't know what it is it's basically what it sounds like .... a big bungee cord with handles on the end ..http://www.bansheebungee.com/

i saw some other edits with them in it and they look pretty legit
 
From what I understand if you have the money and the need for one, they work very well. Ive never personally used one, but Ive seen them in edits and such, and they look dope as fuck. If youve got the cash, go for it
 
Ive heard good things about it, at 120 bucks thats not too bad. but im gonna try with bungee cords and make a home made one first
 
they gave out a smaller version of one of those at the Midwest Ski Film Festival, it looked dope, but I don't know how fast you could get with one that small
 
they're ill. we were able to sled slightly uphill across our grass park on a saucer the other day.

and get pulled fast enough on a skateboard to eat shit just going straight. it was tight
 
ya the more i think about it and watch edits with them i think me and my friend my possibly split the cost of one
 
they are AWESOME. if you use a bunch of people and really stretch em, you can get going FAST AS FUCK.

we linked two to the same handle and used like six dudes to pull it back and the kid on the end just went flying. definitely awesome.
 
My friends ordered one, we tried it out the other day at an arena.

We made a skinny path of snow about 30 feet long which led us to our drop in and then down a little hill to two features we set up. It was so fun! We have the 10foot bungee and we were easily getting enough speed to hit our rail and box and were even getting air off the drop in. You definitely need a crew of a few guys to stretch the bungee to get enough speed though. Split the cost with a few friends, its definitely worth it and when winter comes, it will be perfect for rails etc...

One of the best things about them is that you can split the cost with some friends so the price can get to like $30 each if you have a good amount of people
 
pretty sure thats just one of those red bull things, not the bugee but its safe to say that is the sickest movie i have seen of wakeboarding
 
The Banshee Bungee is kick ass!!! Super easy to use and transportable.

i have a 20 ft one and its super easy to use. it can sling you soooo fast too. and u only need 2 or three ppl pulling it back
 
My boss and I read about them in Snowboard Canada and he was sold right away, we're gonna be carrying them in the next couple weeks. Seems like they would be an awesome idea, it says in the magazine they can get you up to 56 km/h with the 20ft one. That's MORE than enough for pretty much any rail and some jump jibs. Soo sick.
 
I used one a couple weeks a go at a pole jam comp, there really sketchy the first few times you try it but you get used to it real fast just like anything else. They are super sick, I highly recommend them!
 
might get one. Im a boarder, but i ride with a lot of skiers.

When we go hitting urbans, they always have enough speed, and somtimes i just can't get the speed.

I like the idea of being able to hit anything withough a drop in.

kinda pricey though
 
I ordered one over the summer, so far I've only used it in the backyard on turf coming down a hill, but it worked well... stoked to use it this winter. you def need a few guys pullin it back though
 
ya that was sorta the whole idea, i don't many of us really have money to drop on a winch

is two people (including yourself) enough people to use these things properly ?
 
will probably attempt to make one of these due to lack of funds

be prepared for a hilarious video of it snapping on someone cuz im a cheap bastard and dont get the real thing.
 
i fucking love the bungee... countless possibilities. if the video quality on my cell phone wasn't to poor i'd upload a sick video from this wknd. just picture slaying backyard rails... riding out to the handle of the bungee and then shredding back UP the rails. the banshee bungee is LEGIT -- worth every cent.
 
The Banshee Bungee is BADASS! I bought one a few months ago and got to try it out in my backyard this weekend, gotta love snow in october. Plenty of speed to hit boxes. rails, and small kickers. No more drop in construction, thank god!

I bought mine right from the source BansheeBungee.com, seemed to be the cheapest place plus they shipped it to me for free. They have tons of videos so you can check it out before buying too.
 
i feel like it would be sketch to not really be able to speed check on the in run. any comments? and is the 10 footer small enough to do any real urban? and would it be big enough to get up to speed in a flat backyard?
 
dont buy a 10 ft one. from my experience the 20 works best. in cold weather we could not pull the 10 ft one back even 2 feet with a ton of people. 20 is way to go. works so good! gets you mobbin
 
the owner of the snowboard shop in town bought one at the beginning of the winter for us to use. Pretty awesome of him I'd say, to just buy one for the town to use.

Overall, it is really awesome! Some spots are a little interesting to set up, but we haven't found a spot that we couldn't use it yet...

I've always wanted to bring it up on the mountain and use it to hit cliffs with no in runs... hit gaps that just wouldn't work before. Next year.
 
the challenge: convince me that i shouldnt just make my own for cheaper! im definitely interested in one for rails, snowskating, and skimboarding, but i just dont see why i should get a name brand bungee cord?
 
this is a veryy ironic thread... soo a couple months ago my bro and his friends were hitting a rail at a playground near my house using a banshee bungee. it was a down flat down rail and he had 3 people pulling him back, he flew right over the down part and landed and slammed on his stomach on the flat part. turned outt he lacerated his spleen (he was internally bleeding) and almost dieddd. soo basically just dont have too many people pull you backk because all you need is 2 people to get speeed.
