I still don't know why anyone would buy a gravitas or banshee bungee. The bungees that EVEN makes are more powerful and last WAY longer than the Banshee or Gravitas bungee. And EVEN bungees cost $175 not $300+.

This history is wrong. I invented the riverboarding/sports bungee back in 1985. Founded Banshee Riverboards in 2001. Broke away from Banshee to start my own business in 2009. The bungee that we took to ISPO in 2006 was not attached to the board, we had invented a release system for the board in 2004. The people at Gravitas really don't know the history of the sports bungee.

Wrong. Banhsee Riverboards was started in 2001. My company separated from Banshee in 2009. They became Banshee Bungee and I became EVEN Surf Co. I left Banshee in 2009 because they started using less powerful bungees that worked for snowboarders, skiers and skimboarders, but weren't powerful enough for riverbaording - We got a short, slow ride. In 2010, we started selling a more powerful and longer lasting bungee.
