depends on the context it was used in. for informative purposes I see no problem with it.

I mean that picture was used in every single news article on the matter. delete the picture, sure, but definitely not worth a 2 week ban.

It's not like he's the one who did it, just posted a picture off the internet. Ya I could see it being removed, but to give someone a 2 week ban for posting it? Thats damn excessive. I'd say even a 1 day ban would be excessive.

Context is the issue then. I mean the standing orders that I have levied is err on the side of too much vs. too little. Every single time we let up on moderation, there is a massive flood of complaints that things are falling to shit.

Post was deleted, ya got banned, live through it and move on. Post less bad stuff next time.

Is the N word acceptable now? I used to see every single usage of it in posts get banned but now I've been seeing it a ton and it never gets banned? I dont really have a stance i'm just curious.

Mods go through PMS (Periodical Mod Syndrome). It's the pre-ski season jitters when their bodies start undergoing hormonal changes due to physiological changes related to working off their beer bellies for the upcoming season. This makes them strict and irritable. During this cycle they are much less lenient about what flies. A similar yet lesser cycle also occurs at the beginning of summer due to withdrawal.
