"Banned" Interview - President Bush

Someone just linked me to this interview with Bush from 2004, conducted by an Irish reporter. It was never allowed to air on American TV (thus the "banned" thing). The arrogance here is absolutely disgusting, it was prior to his approval ratings' collapse and before the 04 election (if people had seen this, it might have swayed a few votes). But more importantly, could you imagine if reporters on this side of the pond went after the presidential candidates like this? Take some notes, Blitzer / Wallace / Williams.

so much made up bullshit he says Saddam used weapons of mass destructions against his own people. So sad that he is our president.

ahh yes, great that he mentions the great democratic turkey. a country where mentioning the armenian genocide gets you thrown in prison.

well, McCain certainly isn't the right answer... we don't need W Jr. in the office.

and Saddam did use WMDs against his own people. not to defend Bush or anything, cause he's a fucking retard, but he got that one right.

Bush has even changes his arguments about the war. For 7 years, he has used the same line: Saddam used weapons of mass destruction. He will use them again.

If you cannot come up with other arguments, then you are wrong. It pisses me off he doesn't realize how dire the consequences are of the war. Its been 7 years and the middle east has not changes one bit. Maybe banned should be the term, more like not shown because then FOX news would go out of business.

Neither are the right answer.

McCain: Bush Jr., he'll continue the war in iraq until the job is done, and keep america safe. However he'll make no effort to safe our economy, i probably have a better economic understanding than he does. Gas will rise along with everything else.

Obama: Exact opposite, Pull out of Iraq and the Middle East ASAP. However those Countries especially Iran will test his foreign policies by increasing their attacks and possibly leading to another war with the U.S. However he knows how to save the economy and the energy crisis.

Fact of the matter is... whether or not you want a safe but struggling United States, or a stable yet insecure United States.

here the thing you may call me ignorant or unitelligent but i believe that bush may not have been the worst president, honstely the man was put through a lot while in office, includding sep. 11. Yes he may have been wrong to go to war in Iraq but think about iraq 8 years ago and when saddam was in power and then think what could have happened if had stayed in power, he could have led the world into an even greater war or maybe just caused more innocent lives to be taken, i will agree that this war isnt good nor is going in the way the U.S. planned at all but i will concur that world for will ever be a better place without Suddam. This is the thing the world and the people of the U.S. have to understand it takes time to instill peace and freedom especially when we are just one single country.

Also i believe Saddam did use weapons of mass destruction on his people, by using napam and other gases to kill them by the hundreds, and then burring them in mass graves. Just a little satanic if you ask me.

Boy, those gov't scare tactics work on you really well eh? "We have to complete our middle of ethnically cleansing anyone who doesnt like us or the will explode our country!!!"

Ever think that if you guys stopped fucking with other countries that they would stop fucking with you? Of course not, you guys look at the rest of the world through a scope...pathetic that this is your only form of 'democracy'.

Your countires foreign policy is the biggest joke on this planet.

so, you don't know what napalm is, do you? that's a rhetorical question.

by the hundreds? check your history.

and your entire post makes Americans look ignorant as hell. granted, most are, but your post did an exceptional job illustrating exactly how ignorant the vast majority of the country is. if Bush isn't our worst president, mind enlightening me as to who holds the title? dazzle me with your brilliance yet again.

hahahaha hes a fucking retard. if i were the reporter every time he said "let me finish" like i was 2 or something i would have fucking punched him.

Thats all the rest of the world wants from you guys. Obama is a step in the right direction, McCain is a step in the same old direction.

You're talking to a head of state. STOP CUTTING HIM OFF you stupid bitch. why would bush interview with this amateur? I'm glad he shut her down repeatedly.

Though he is a terrible public speaker and seems to be easily manipulated by those in his administration, I'll give Bush credit for one thing. He seems to genuinely believe in the things he says. The first Bush was the same way. I get the exact opposite feeling from guys like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. The Obama dick sucking has to stop. The guy is no different than any other politician, please realize this. It's possible he is the best candidate left, but lets not act like he's some godsend.

Awesome qualities for a leader...those qualities you listed sound like a sheep...

I think Obama is the right answer in this situation because he'll pull out of the war, which will eventually lead to a revitalized economy.. The argument, however, is that more terrorist attacks will happen if we aren't defending ourselves overseas right? Well Alqaeda's main goal was to attack our economy and ultimately bring down our nation... What has happened? Bush fell for the trap and got in over his head. I think we're fine defensively, we just need to bring back our economy. Clinton might not have been the greatest with foreign policy, but he kept our economy up. Bush fucked that up. We need to rebuild our infrastructure before we do anything else.. and I honestly think Obama can do that.

do you even know why the lusitania was sunk? or why the japanese decided to bomb pearl harbor?

fucking brainwashed idiots. no bush isnt the worst president in the history of the united states hes the best puppet. that fuck had the cutest little smirk on his face that entire interview.

sometimes i laugh at how dumb he really is,,
and then i get really scared cause i realize that he controls the most dangerous and powerful country in the world

its like giving a todler the detination button for a nuclear bomb

She kinda was being rude and interrupting him while he is speaking.

I think the war was a good thing at first but with it now in its 7th year nothings getting done. Its kind of like were spending billions of dollars and thousands of lives on a service project.

agreed, she was being a bit of a "dick" interrupting the prez.... show some class lady, and professionalism..

she is asking the questions, so he should answer them, but she wasnt getting what she wanted, so she kept acting rude... IMO

Why does that matter? I'm stuck beside your country (which likes to police the rest of the world) and the last thing i want is more regulations and bullshit on our side of the boarder because your gov't pisses every one else off.

What you do effects us. Thats why I care.

fucking hell guys i feel sorry for ya. it has always been clear that bush is a retard, after that interview it is also clear that he is a genuine CUNT. what a smug prick patronizing the lady who was just doing her job- a good interview is a two-way conversation, not a george w. bush ideology broadcast, so she is well within her rights to probe him. and i find it astonishing there are kids in this thread prepared to try and defend him, especially having seen that.

the guy is not only a joke, he is also a wanker. i know what it's like to have a shit head of government right now (uk- gordon brown...) but bush has made an absolute mockery of a nation whose reputation was already shaky at best. shame on him.

really?

nope, sorry....

go check out his new position on iraq...........

also go look at how many times the spineless man voted "present" he wouldnt take a fucking side!

He has made some horrible mistakes during his presidency but it isn't all his fault. I say the blood is on the hands of both democrats and republicans for this war.

lmao yeah we only saved the world twice on our way to becoming the most influential nation in the world

why dont you come over here and pay some american taxes before you fall all over obama, the guy only spent 143 days in the senate and didnt do shit. but im sure raising taxes will stimulate the economy...and if it doesnt then he can just expand the government to open up jobs!

and reagan would have bitchslapped that reporter into the irish sea for interrupting like that

issues obama has changed positions on so far:

iraq withdrawl

the threat posed by iran

n. korea as a sponsor of terror

cuban embargo

potential division of Jerusalem

palestinian elections

preconditions in meeting with rogue leaders

(idk how anyone can tell what his actual foreign policy is...)

govt eavesdropping

telecom immunity

gun control

public financing for his campaign

anti-poverty grants to religious groups

capital punishment

abortion

marijuana legalization

and probably more to come! his campaign is based on change, after all

How is this necessarily a good thing. its not like hes so much sticking by his values as not willing to change his mind when new information comes up. i would rather have a politician that changes his mind when he realizes he is wrong/made a mistake than a man who is unwilling to ever change his stance on anything

ah yes and we all know that McCain has never once changed his mind at all. Perhaps by voting present he was choosing not to take a side on something he felt he shouldnt untill he had more information

the 8:50 mark should be a slap in the face to democrats today, they have been wanting to get out of Iraq for ever, but Bush has stuck to his guns....the Country is way more stable today and the terrorists are losing. No more Dictator!

And as far as this video being banned ,,,I cant see why, Bush handle that reporter no problem,,,, she was a BeeOtch! (way disrespectful) It would have been a point in his favor.

exhibit A: the stereotypical disgustingly arrogant american. i truly feel for those of your fellow countrymen who are actually rational, because it is buffons such as yourself which ensure they will never be taken seriously.

pull your head out of your anus, learn some fucken history and perhaps most importantly learn some manners. it isn't rude for an interviewer to interrupt. like i already said, a good interview is a two way process, not just an unimpeded ideological broadcast. if you knew that perhaps you wouldn't such a brainwashed retard. besides, when someone is spewing such dogshit, it is probably extremely kind to interrupt- it might save the stupid bastard from saying something he really didn't mean...

Take it from a third party source that's watching America implode; you are a classic case of brainwashing (unless that was unbelievably sarcastic).

On the note of stability aren't you in a recession and didn't the second largest bank collapse in US history just happen?

this is not a britney spears interview. this is not TMZ. you show a head of state respect, bottom line. I would expect nothing else from an american journalist interviewing your head of state (im assuming you're canadian). Don't let your Bush disdain fool you. That bitch needs to do her job correctly. Cutting him off once, fine, but doing it that many times shows an obvious lack of respect. Oh and what a surprise, all you whiny Bush haters have none either!

Not to mention his source is Bill O'Reilly, the biggest douche in america, and Fox News, the most corrupted and conservative news station in america.

I was talking about stability in Iraq, and dont sweat it buddy about america, it's been through a recession before and has come out stonger and it will do it again.

i dont know what all this talk about imploding is, maybe you are the one being brainwashed by the media and negative articles about the economy. Just take a look back in history, recessions come and go.
