Banned Cartoon

That is some fucked up shit, what kind of a freak thinks thats is good for kids, I'm even a little tripped off it

or maybe because the govt doesn't want to spend anymore on SSI shrinks for little kids. Cartoons where satan lures kids into a mystical land where he creates and destroys life is not healty. This shit at an early age is how serial killers are born.

Doug, Hey Arnold, cow and chicken(not a good example of the anti satan thing lol)

I dont understand the question though why is that relevant to this cartoon? do you think it is appropriate

i say let kids watch whatever they want. the government has no business telling you what you can see and not see. i grew up on ren and stimpy, rocko's modern life and the oldschool wb shit. half of it the fcc wont let you see until midnight now. if people dont think it's tastefull ratings will drop and it'll be off the air.

yea I understand the less govt control thing, but at least rate it so parents know what their kids are watching

the ratings are crap anyways. thankfully i live in Canada and don't have to put up with most of the R ratings they have in America, up here they usually lower it to PG-13 or 14-A.

but the religous matters in this... says hes and angel called satan? that teaches kids to pretty much not believe what the bible says right there. the whole thing just doesnt teach children anything appropriate.

so you think children should inadvertantly learn to not question the bible? and thinking otherwise is innappropriate?

i agree, teaching children to believe blindly in religion is far more dangerous than a cartoon from which they can derive their own interpretations without " going to hell ", etc. as some adults insist happens to children who question their religion.

i know jack shit about the bible, but i'm pretty sure it says that satan IS an angel. fallen angel? anybody?

and let's not get into an argument over government regulations.

Yup. His angel name was Lucifer. I'm pretty sure he was in God's inner circle like one of his right-hand men.

thats what i was going to say.
aside from that, people worrying about sociopath behavior from cartoons, i grew up on a lot of violence, i.e. bugs bunny, the simpsons, etc and i don't think i'm the least bit interested in mass murder.
this show would probably be great for adult swim. 3 year olds? chances are no.
there isn't a whole lot wrong with censorship either, as long as it's not censoring the wrong things, like morals and etc. which this show might have had at the end.
i dont know if anyone saw the dark crystal, but when i was a kid, that was f-ing scaaaary.
the only issue with violent tv is if it's not well balanced with core values and morals the kids are taught. most children, if coming from a loving, open home, can watch violent cartoons and think nothing of it, none the less, i think there are definitely obvious age limits to everything.

clearly nobody here has read "Mysterious Stranger" by Mark Twain, but that was an amazing artistic rendition of part of the story. It's a really good read too. I would recommend it. And it wasn't Einstein if anyone was wondering, the old guy is Mark Twain. Meh, read the book.
