i've been around longer than you on my username that i stopped posting on.

and no this isn't considered an alias, because i'm not using it for malicious intent against the forum.
 
Maybe you can explain something then.

Why do people start a new profile to start posting on even if they were never banned?

nothing against you personally, because i dont know you. i can only judge what i can see, and i cannot see that you have other users because i cant track your IP. so good for you that you've been on here longer than i have. i applaud you
 
i just think its dumb that you talk about kids making threads about things already posted but you made a thread about one of the most common threads...yeah
 
Yea i still see that off and on, I hate how now people don't creep around and get to know the site before they make an account. I think i was on here a year and a half before i bothered to make an account
 
Maybe he wanted to escape his rough and tumble NS past. A young kid from the streets who just grew up in the rough part of town. He was tired of his past haunting him, so he created a new NS to try to escape his the pitfalls of his past life.

Or maybe he is fucking lying.
 
Well, I started a new one last year for a few reasons.

1) My feelings got hurt and I was being a little bitch so I got a new account.

2) The email account that I started my first account with no longer exists.

Now I regret making a new account, but oh well, shit happens.
 
See, that I can get, the email account thing.

When someone says they got a new one cause of the ehate they got it sounds like a total lie because I see those same people with the usual "it is just teh interwebzorz dawg!!!" comments in other threads. It sounds like a cop out.
 
Well for me it was the combination of both that caused me to switch. It was less the hate for me, and more the way I handled it. After it happened I was like "wow, I was being a little bitch, I don't want to be like that." I admit it, I tried to avoid responsibility for my actions. The email thing was the main point for me changing accounts, but the ehate was the tipping point. Now I wouldn't change accounts because I don't take things too seriously.
 
Look at me, my first two years I acted like that idiot daytripper... just pissing people off. What I did was stopped coming here for a bit and then when I posted I tried not to be an ass and no one really remembers me being a douchebag.

Hell, I got in full 6 page flame wars with Drew and Ben and now I can crack jokes with them through PMs and just do stupid shit in threads.

Like, a number of posts? WHO GIVES A FUCK?! Look at uni-corn. Saved his 10,000 post for something epic and finally just said fuck it and just went on a rampage. Granted, he was ArnieP for awhile while he was saving it but goddamn. It is just a number on the internet just like karma.... who cares?
 
I think we're actually kind of agreeing. I wish that I had just stick with my old account. I'm explaining my rational at the time.

you kids also have to remember that its not post count that matters, its member number. time SPENT on THE SITE.

i have a little over what seems an average amount of posts on this site, but ive been here since the beginning of 2003. thats almost 7 years.
 
as i recall, bang her like a hammer is fairly new anyways, maybe a year or so old. NSG has always been stupid, it's where we put the stuff that doesn't really belong anywhere else, so you're bound to find a load of crap in here. thank NS for putting up other boards where we can talk about skiing, art, etc., and if you don't want to see crap in NSG, that sucks for you, because it'll never go away.

the fact that we are hating on noobs for using phrases that "they haven't been around long enough to use", is doing nothing but lowering us to the dismal standards of the burton message boards. so what if some noob or whoever says something, just ignore it if it means that much to you.

I just find it annoying that people think skiing is about being cool or different

To me skiing is fun because from the moment i stomp in to the moment i stomp out i have a big grin on my face

To me skiing is art because i can do the same trick as the next guy but still make it my own

To me skiing is meditation because i can think about everything and nothing at the same time

To me skiing is about skiing, and that is the view that was more comonly shared on this site

but seriously dude, man up deal with the nubs, and get over the getting on with it. noobs are boobs, and gay guys like neither, so take your nuts, put them back your pants, tell your gym teacher you cant do this sorta stuff with him no more, and get on with life.

Alright so i know I'm "new" but I've been lurking for about a year now, just made a user name when i got to CU to find other skiers to ski with. Now I've been looking over the forums and what not, but most of it is not really ski related... even in the ski gabber. Most of it is some kid states there opinion and the next argues it to see who knows more and it just turns into so much hate, on other skiers who have the same passion. I don't see the problem being a noob (granted i see some pretty stupid shit on here i.e the kid who tried to jack the rate my icon thread).
IMO this just needs to be brought back to skiing
ignore the stupid ass posts and maybe some more bans?
