Banf or France?

I am planing a trip for MSU spring break. I have a ton of options but Banf and France are were I have narowed it down to. France cost like 1200 with lodging lift ticks, and all transportation. But banf is like 850 all inclusive for ten days. Which one should I go for considering everything?

 
Banff is the capital of STD's, obviously go to Banff!

don't forget weed and coke too....most per capita.

Tough call on the choices though.....i'd go to france personally, chamonix is intense...blows banff away for sure.

Farnce is tight, cause of forgein chicks. But Banff has those to. Also heli ski trips are like 100 to any peak you can see from banff. Its like Albertas Whistler. And Banff isn't the STD capital Sunshine is. SO many awesome ski hills around banff. And one is always gauranteed to have good. snow. The parks are decent, stuff is cheap if your american, lots and lots of bud. super cool place. But if you won't have a chance to go to France again take that.

you can always find deals like that anywhere in canada.

uh...sunshine is the STD capital now? It's banff. Saying sunshine is the STD capital is like saying 'kicking horse is the std capital'. Sunshine is a ski hill with just has a little hotel and staff accomodations. There's no way.

hit banff man, theres like five hills in the area, plus kicking horse is like an hour west. If delerium dive is open youll be in heaven. just dont forget ur beacon and shovel

 
I'm not a know it all, i just disagree completely with what you're saying. When i lived there and worked at sunshine i never heard anyone say anything except banff was the std capital blah blah blah. Anyways...it's not important so whatever.

definetley hit france man. Europe is a whole different world that will completey blow your mind. the terrain is massive and you decide what you wanna ski, not the patrollers. know your shit though, much easier to get in shity situations.(avis) Plus the chicks are way hotter than anything in Banff!

 
I think it would be cool to experience the hole europiean culture and skiing but I'd go to banff, simply because I know its a good time (unitl you contract gonareah(sp) er sumthing like that) and because its cheaper.

France is insane. I went there spring break a couple years back and got freshies every day. If you go to france get a guide and ski the vallee blanche, definitely worth it. and check out st fois tarentaise...you've probably never heard of it but it's a tiny resort with huge vertical and great backcountry. it's near val d'isere i think. best ski trip of my life, i've never been to banff but not many experiences could rival the ones i had in france.

Considering it's less than $400 dollars more to go to France, there is no doubt in my mind that I would chose going to Europe. $1200 total? Thats so cheap - I wanna go, I wanna go!

this shouldn't even be a question, i'm from alberta and i've skiied in both banff and france and france kills the shit we have here.. I don't know where you're getting your prices but I can bet that france will cost way more then you're trip to banff..

after skiing in france last year for 15 days coming back home and skiing banff was the most disapointing thing ever..

 
I would go to france to ski, because I can ski the banff area almost anytime. But I don't know how sunshine could be the std capital. I agree with Jibs. I just don't follow the logic. Banff I could see. even though I thought whistler was the std capital of na.

I would decide where to go depending on the ski conditions. If the alps have more snow go there, if not go to the rockies.

but...yah..that just sorta set in, 1200 bucks for FRANCE??? like..is that american funds? and does that include plane ticket?? If so...fuck going to fernie, i want this deal and i want to go to france.
