Sorry to be a snob here but your fucking wrong. The guy asks for shit that sounds like j5 and your talking de la, the wu etc, heres the problem, j5 is distinctly underground westcoast, that shit is east coast, particularly the wu, the fuck do you even begin to confuse the RZA with cut chemist? The New Blackalicous album is good but over rated, NIA is far better, theres to much fucking emo on it, like that ben harper shit.

On the topic of hip hop if you like NYC underground, the rhymes and ssyles but your more down with the d&b influence of the westcoast then you should check out Masterminds, the TIGHTEST group out.

 
yea he knows whats up... and dilated peoples sound nothing like j5. but as long as we're droppin names of groups that sound nothing like j5, KRS-1 has some dope shit... and i know most of you are probably tired of swollen members but if you havent heard em then hook that up too.

And C-lo, I think he was talking less about specific style and more about positive atitudes.

If so then buy every A Tribe Called Quest album you can get your mummy's money on. K-OS is another guy worth checking out if you're willing to sacrifice lyrical skills more meaningful content. But if you're like me and you're just getting into ''Hip-Hop'' too gassed up about it as a meaningful socio-political movement just because you heard some guy rap about it.
