Bandanas?

anyone here wear bandanas like around your mouth when your skiing and what are your opinions on them? seems like i see a lot of jibbers wearing them now.....
 
well when its really cold out like it always is in minnesota if you wear it over your mouth and face it often freezes which just makes you more cold. i wear one to keep my neck warm i could zip up my jacket but its more comfortable with a bandanna
 
i wear one over my chin, and i can easily duck the rest of my face into it to stay warm.
 
i wear one around my neck and when i get cold my face. they freeze over your face if its snowing but usually its only the outside layer so the inside one stays warm with your breath. only downside is it can end up trying to breath through a wet rag which isnt good
 
gnar gnar bandeezy's are only somewhat funtional. whenever i actually ski with the over my face it tunrs into a snot/spit cloth, which is gross. The main reason of them is look, and I think they look cool, so ill wear one ocasionally.
 
I got a pretty dope one for cold days that has fleece inside. I usually just let it hang around the neck tho. Im one of the few to have a Newschoolers one so i gotta sport it.

It usually works like shit when its up over my nose tho. Gets my goggles all foggy.
 
I like wearing a bandana because it keeps my face from getting wind burned...its annoying though when people hate on them
 
I wasnt too keen on bandanas before i started wearing them. But now i enjoy them, pretty much just as a wind break. Better than having an itchy neck gaitor(sp?)

bandanas are totally overrated.. if its snowing they get covered in snow and freeze in like a second and then your face is freezing but at least something is blocking the wind.. but if its windy they usually freeze immediatley anyways... in reality its just a fashion statement.. if you really wanna keep your face warm get on of those head mask beanie things.
 
Bandanna for sunny days, mebbe slight wind or a lil chilly, skiing park and hiking pipe.

Fleeze neck tube for cold weather and skiing pow pow.
 
yea i have a bunch of pretty dope looking bandana's alhtough they tend to stay around my neck, and freeze up essentially making them useless
 
kinda they arent bad when they freeze if you keep them on your face because the inner half stays warm and is wet but is warmer than exposure
 
Everytime I wear my EC neck warmer covering my nose my goggles always fog up. Any suggestions? And I dont want to put band-aids in my goggles...
 
i wear a neckwarmer up to my chin and throw a bandana over it like normal. that way i stay warm, nothing gets wet and frozen, and the bandana's far enough away from my mouth to allow me to breathe.
 
Why the fuck would you wear a bandana to keep you warm? Gators are warm, black, stealthy, warm, make you incognito, and G. I usually ski with a turban though.
 
Bandannas have been taken totally out of context, they were supposed to be sun shields at summer camps and on spring days so your face dossent get destroyed by the sun. Then one day some kid saw it on a movie and decided it was cool, now daily i see kids who shouldent be near the park wearing bandannas feeling all thug, kind of bugs me.
 
My bandana got me in allot of trouble last night.

I was riding the bus home after coming down from the hill. I like many skier wear a bandana. I tucked it in my jacket while in the city so its not showing it. On the bus some drunk "thugz" came on, I think they were Italian.

So when we arrived at the station I had to transfer buses, and I was walking in front of one of the "thugz" who was holding a 2/6th of vodka. As I step off the bus he must have saw the tag of my bandana sticking out of my jacket. He grabed it from the back he pulled it against my neck jerking me back. He then said " Buddy take fucking shit off!" I looked at him puzzled, he then treatned me to take it off, then all his "hommies" came walking my way, so I took it off and threw it at them.

He showed his friends, and for some reason they looked pissed too, and they told me to walk the other way. I gladly did so. I don't mind the fact that it got taken away, 5 bucks and it lasted me 2.5 years probably wore it 200 times.

I was just mad how they thought they had the right to control how I dress. I wasn't dressed gangster by any means, had my snow gear which is baggy but not offencive.

And I live in Vancouver, not fucking Brooklynn, and they were white, not like they were in the Bloods or the Cripps.

So I'd say be careful to anyone else how you dress on the hill might be offensive to someone else, even though it shouldnt bother them.

I would've gone mad when they did that to me. Even if it's just a 5 dollar bandana, they didn't even said why they didn't like your bandana...?
 
bandanas are for true thugs only......haha but on a funnier note i saw a 2nd grader rocking a bandana in school. now thats a true g
 
I wear it on cold days, It keeps my neck and chin warm. It really helps, more than I thought it would before I tried it.
 
dont waste your money on a bandana with holes in it

they dont keep you warm and are pointless

plus the burton ones are mad gay
