What is available for bc style skis with bamboo cores? I rode a bamboo skateboard the other day and really like the feel, I know a deck and skis have very little in common but the flex, pop, and weight was amazing. I would love to try some bamboo skis.

ninthward compte have bamboo core they arent bc skis but some of the other ninthwards might have bamboo also. im not sure tho

look at custom skis, bamboo is preety expansive I think, I know some snowboards are made of it, really light but responsive, lost of pop, if I hade a pro model it would have bamboo in it.

the new liberty pro model has some available in bamboo. its like belangers pro model or something but im not sure.

save bamboo for the pandas

ive ridden MIK Ds but i hated them... but only becuase of the goofy flex pattern.

Yeah if you look at the liberty site, larose like the other guy said has a bamboo pro model but it is a park/pipe one with an 84.5 waist.

nope...www.kingswoodskis.com theres ur bamboo core skis, and they are some of the best skis made...ur welcome and dont forget the price is in NZ dollars which converts nicely to a cheaper US price

yeah i was just going to say kingswood. theyre sick as hell and they have some nice fat skis

Kingswood makes outstanding skis, and I can only hope to own a pair sometime in the near future...as for the longboards, I'm pretty sure that both Sector 9, and Lush make bamboo decks, I'm sure there are other companys as well.

I'm gonna be making a pair within the next couple months. It's a sick materials for making cores...super strong and soaks up epoxy super nice so you can make it hella stiff with the right composites...plus its super renewable for all you hippie types (bamboo grows like 10inches a day)..and yes, you can feed pandas with it

Yea...and the best part, it's totally funded by my school. Me and a couple other guys started a boardsport technologies enterprise (enterprises are student-run senior design projects that you work on for several years). So in a way i guess i am paying for it via tuition, but im learning a shit ton about really cool stuff and getting school credit.
