yes i would take balls over style anyday in big mountain, and sometimes in park, what about you guys

'I put toilet paper on the corner of the door and then rubbed my ass on it.' Iannic B. on how he wiped his ass with two broken arms.

a huge air is cool, but if it has no style, it just looks stupid

i'd rather see a kid land a 1440 than see a really stylie 540 or something like that.

There is nothing motherly about mother nature. Except for her big mountainous breasts.

id rather see both.

its cool to have style it is also cool when someone goes huge but when the combine the two thats where its at.

so you'd rather see a flaily ass peice of shit 1440 more than the most pimped out 540. you're a coon.

sacrifice, to some its just a word, to others it is a code, what matters is the colony, he is willing to live for the colony, fight for the colony, die for the colony.

ya im going to have to agree with rockymountain on that one

i dont think u can compare with balls OR style. personally u hafta have the balls first to huck yourself for a first time and then have the balls to keep trying and perfecting it and then comes the style, so i dont think u can say balls or style i tihnk its balls and style

he said go big, not spin super fast . . . there's a difference. why do you think candide is the star of every movie this year?? not because of his style, but because he has bigger balls and more skill than anyone else and he showed that at superpark

I agree with the fact that Candide went off last year going bigger than anyone. But are you saying he has no style? You might wanna re-think that one.

i think style is better, only to an extent. if you are going to base all your riding on smaller styled out tricks, then you wont progress. you dont always have to keep a smooth style. its not like every single rider is going to compete, or be in a movie. i sometimes like to push myself, but that requires you to break your style. add another 180 or even 360 to everthing you do...just for the hell of it. you dont gotta do it in comps. so WHY NOT?

i think you need both. i was just watching mike douglas and peps segment in SM3 when they are jumping over those huge ass holes on the pemberton ice cap.. that needs big ass balls and they pull that shit off with style.. so my vote is both. then they do taht rail over the crevasse.. that would be scary shit..

'Who cares if you can do an 1080. I think a smooth stylie 540 is sicker than a hucked 1080. Keep it simple and stylie.' -Mike Wilson

yes, who really does care about doing 1080s? i bet little mr wilson himself has done a 1080 at some point. why? just to do it. (not to talk shit mike) but has anyone seen SB1? mike wilson as a kid is asked..what to you want to be when you grow up? he answers...a skiboarder. hahahaha. so ya, dont keep yourself stuck on small tricks all the time. if you hit up a good powder day...kicker, then why not just see how many times you can spin and land?

'When I'm mad as fuck you get shot and to some it's bad luck, I believe you held something back for too long, it grew strong and energy got its own will, and people think that we make music still, but music is there without you or me we just minipulate for better or worse so let it situate.'

there are some pretty crappy videos of kids on this website doing big spins off tiny ass jumps and really huckin it, and I hate em. Id see style over some stupid hucked ballsy trick anyday. Anything laid out and long is better then some quick ass spin at 90 mph.

Tanner did this mad backflip with HUGe gorilla style in scandalous. kids these days will try anything to get noticed, thats why they go huge, unfortunately, unlike snowboarding, style isn't as big as technical.

Cant we all just get along, fuck that, can't we all just get a bong

i jumped a 70ft cliff last season, when i was 14, it was pure balls... and for the skier actually doing the whatever they are doing, goin balls out fives ya more of an adreneline rush, so its cool, but both are important

Take something that has a lotta balls, try adding style, its pretty damn fuckn hard to do it in the 1st place. try a simple 1080, you need to go huge, to add a grab, off axis it, so they do tie in together, but i still think a pollard 180, cusson 360 toxic, and a dorion mute 180 are sicker then most ballsy cork 10's and that shit

Cant we all just get along, fuck that, can't we all just get a bong

ANDY that is funny. I have a buddy that used to skiboard and i know exactly what you are talking about with Mikey Wilson. If you have ever hung out with Jason and Mike back in the day you would know that Mikey is the whole Line crew's little bitch. Tahoefreerider, that quote from Mikey Wilson is exactly recycled from Jasons Levinthal and Mike Nick, or Pete Mithoffer. He maybe actually believe it now, but i have seen him huck and bail all day long on stupid shit.

big mountain requires lots of balls and style. park requires lots of balls too, but way more style in my opinion

fall get get back up again, you never gonna keep me down

style is entirely a personal issue, and shouldnt be regulated by dumbasses who have rediculous opinions, in fact, i'd say having fun and skiing deep POWDER is better than any park trick, stylie or not.

You need balls first, then you can add style after you learn to go huge.

style isnt something you achieve its something you develop. if u practice what you have then u will develop a style of some sort. wont necessarily be a much loved style, but to someone else it just might be. who knows, usually when u throw something huge u try to get cleanliness into it. i dont think many people even try huge tricks flailing their arms and rolling down the windows unless they bail.

I'm comin straight outta Orleans, represent (thug life what!)

its all about style, an idiot can go out and throw his body of some kicker, thinking he has balls. style shows skill and makes a trick unique to you. Thats why their are pros just look at em all of them has a different style that sets their skiing apart from others. no one wants to see the same 1440 or whatever over and over, style adds variation and makes things a lot more interesting.

i think its hilarious when people go ape shit and just flail their bodies around with no hope of survival...makes a man feel real good inside to see that. 1440 any day.

i dunno... i'd much rather see rob holmes land on his head off a 100 foot cliff than see an eric pollard 540. but you can't have one without the other, you need to find a healthy devun walsh like mix.

and for the record, switch straight airs are way over rated in the first place. he went backwards, woop dee do. zero spins... bah.

hucksplat, thats just because you want to see people get hurt, what if he landed a real shitty 100 foot cliff jump. A 25 foot cliff with a lincoln styled would be cooler anyday

I would say you need balls first, then make that ballsy jump into something stylie. Like Candide.

i'm all about the crazy guys that jump off cliffs with nope hope of landing the shit...its great. much more fun to watch than a smooth 540.

big spins like 1260s and 1440s are kind of gay, there needs to be more to it. Also when kids try to do like a 360 off a 2ft. kicker (like at my home hill) it looks extremely stupid cause they hardly get any air and they just spin really fast...spinning really fast is for figure skaters and ballerinas.

Personally i'd say huge floating 360s or somethin like that with a grab thrown in usually look sweet

I'd rather see someone do something fucking insane and land on their face then some stylie simpiler trick

I say they are both cool. Seeing someone going huge is fun to watch, like the spine hits in Blunt and seeing do a super tweaked 360 is cool too. They are both cool, but in different ways.

isnt hucking your meat techinically part of your style?

'pro - peagna? What the fuck is that?' - my friend looking at my Propaganda DVD (he's not to bright)

when you watch Strike Three and see Mickael's 5 at WSI you will understand why a styled out 5 is better than a 1440.

look at it this way, CR first came on the scene cause he stuke a 1260 and a 1440 on the same day, now he's one of the style leaders. And Candide's seg. in The Game was mostly super fast 1080's and 1260's, with absolutly no style. Just a little history lesson for ya.

And my two bits on CR's new 'style' is it just looks like he's taking a shit in the air, all hunched over like that.

Pushing off into the seasons first blazing arcs, speed instantly melts a full summer's worth of angst. We are back. It is winter. And we have just been reminded, once again, of the power of this mountain and this cherised life. - Aaron Martin

cr...style leader? what? hes good, but i wouldnt say hes a style leader. look at the guys like jf, pollard, vinnie, skogen. those guys are style leaders...c.r....isnt

Candide's 5 reverse tail( does a 180 tail to late 3)on propaganda is oozing with style. I think late spins are the shit.

pollard's got amazing style

S-T-Y-L-E....Go huck your balls off in the park or backcountry but none of you guys can fuckin tell me that Seth's Backflips off 60 foot cliffs are cool cause he hucks himself...fuck no the dude's got style...So for all you 'extreme skiers' out there that think spinning or flipping your nuts off is the way to go, go buy a copy of Ski Movie 3, Stereotype, or Happy Dayz and see some bad ass style...
