Baker seasons passes

Yo washingtonians

I'm relocating my ass out of whistler and want to ride a lot of baker next year. I might go to school in the fall. Are there any student deals on seasons passes? or any ultra mega locals secrets?
 
ultra mega local secrets for getting a cheap pass?

employees get a pass for 100 deposit (get it back at when you give the pass back) so i would say get a bullshit busser/janitor job like 2 days a week or whatever, and get the pass for 100 bucks. then you'll have a cheap pass, and get like 150-200 bucks every couple weeks.

oh, i forgot to add:

if you do decide to go that route, work weekends, and ski weekdays. weekdays are where its at, at baker. all the hounds/killers/rippers/locals ride weekdays. weekends are just horrible comparatively.
 
yeah i would say the best deal would be to take a light load or no winter quarter in college, work weekends in the lodge (busser/cook/janitor). with instructing you have to check in and probably work everyday. im pretty sure there arent any part time liftie jobs. with the employee pass you can get discounted food/gear too. probably the best local secret i can give you is to hitchhike. even on weekdays. everyday i hitchike i get picked up in under 5 minutes, as long as your out there at the time when most cars drive by. last week i was picked up by the first car that drove by. good way to meet people and its the cheapest way to get up the mountain.

are they still doing those canadian dolalr days at par on thursdays. i think it was $25cdn
 
the only mega local secret would be that even if you spend 600$ on a pass, you will probabbly only have your pass checked like 5 times in an entire season. and thats if you get like 50 days in.

although be prepared to bullshit or run if you do get checked.
 
yeah, good point. you will probably only get checked friday-sunday + holidays. i have yet to be checked midweek... if you are checked just say your an employee or instructor too. that almost always gets me through.
 
i would almost attempt that if i wasnt in a foreign country. also my friend poached there a few years ago. someone caught him on the hill somehow?????????? and said they will fine him or take his equipment. he had rock skis on so he told them to take his skis. they changed their mind and fined him.

i'll pay for a ticket unless im at seymour from now on
 
I LIVE IN ABBOTSFORD TOO! like omg. im still not old enough to drive, so i mooch a ride off of pops, but next year i can drive. but one secret is buy them early, you save some money.

Oh, by the way Mr. Sam Caylor, locals/rippers only ski weekdays? I think not. School my friend.
 
by "local/rippers" i meant the one who ski more than just weekends. old guys/pros/local pros/guys who only rip on days that are worth it.
 
no...pretty sure your wrong. have you ever seen the giffens, barret, dan, deano, that one guy with xxl's, and josh/kye ride? they kill it. everywhere. 5 laps on herman in one day, backflips off cliffs, jumping off the beast, switch 5 double nosegrab...trust me. they're better than me, you, and most people on this website (except park).
