Welll today was glorious. Got to glacier seeing 20+ inches on the ground got me super stoked. Best day of the last 4 i have skied.

Wish the forecast hadnt changed for baker, was so stoked for thursday, 20+inches woulda been sweet...

I'm from Alberta, and I was planning on doing a Baker trip next Thursday, and I was wondering how the snow is. I know it's puking, but is it heavy and wet?

This last storm was verrry cold and wet. Looks like a little warm spell tomorrow then dropping again for saturday. Looks like its gona stay cold. But who knows.

Check NOAA or NWAC for forecasting. NWAC does avy danger as well.

When you say cold and wet, does that mean heavy snow? I am completely unfamiliar with coastal weather. Is it really and avy danger inbounds?

Cold and wet means cold temps with lotsss of snow. We got something like 20 inches monday night into tuesday. Inbounds you should never have to worry about avy danger, but out of bounds get a little hairy sometimes.

NEVER duck a rope at Baker unless you know where you're going. You can get your ticket pulled really quickly for skiing bc without gear. A lot of signs that say "Unsurvivable cliff" are spot on...

You'll be sweating on the coldest days. At the very least you'll keep warm from all the exercise.

So I just realized how awesome Baker is and that everyone who lives north of shoreline should go ski there since it is so fucking awesome and obviously worth it. Jist don't go to stevens, it is fucking flat and you only get like two turns for tons of wiating in line, and traversing, that mountain sucks, save yourself the Pain and go to Baker. Itz fuckin awesome bro.
