Baker 2011-2012

Who wants to build a hut/igloo in the woods somewhere? Preferably with a view of baker/shuksan.

Been reading the thread on TGR about huts and igloos other peeps have made. Makes me want one...

Alaska is kind of like a slave colony for the US. We use it to harvest oil and seafood, and sometimes people fly up just to gawk at the ignorant natives~

Truth; I really wish we weren't giving all our natural resources to you stinky Americans. At least we get to eat sea food that isn't poisonous, or at least know better than to buy dirty old fish meat that we only feed to dogs mislabeled as "fresh alaskan salmon."

I kinda like the idea of an igloo, less chance of it getting torn down.

I also like the idea of it melting in spring along with all traces that i had been there...

But having a hut with a wood burning stove, wood floors etc would be epic.

Ok maybe i'm taking this too far, but how sick would it be to have a hut in the winter to sleep in, then wake up in the morning to the mountain...even more epic.

Epic indeed.

There is a whole thread over on tgr about this. People posted up some pictures of there huts/huts they stumbled upon, there are some crazy ones out there.

guys, this is really weird. its snowing up here. it has been since around three. lightly, but there is a few inches already and its getting a LITTLE HEAVIER

OH helll yaaa. So much fun shredding around.

Fatty slides. EVERYwhere.

For realz i will be there tomorrow. Give me a holla probably going out to safety line.

Thigh-deep untracked under cotton candy skies. Feelsgoodman.

I don't care; I didn't summit until 3:00 and I got 4th tracks down an otherwise untouched mountain face with a nice cornice drop at the top. Fuck Washington and your trustafarians.

It was just about to head down. Fortunately, in the spring we can be in the backcountry until 9:00pm skiing in the sun so that makes up for it.
