They popped the springs out, and mounted the bindings with the brakes jangling around completely loose. Now they don't go down, and I can hear them janglin' while I ride. Kinda cool actually, since it makes some tricks more musical. But I can't put my skis over my shoulder and hike since there's nothing to stop them from scissoring.
The pooface at the shop tried to blame it on me, saying I was using "outdated" bindings that were wrong for me. I told him he had to be a fucking retard to botch a mounting job, and that I've mounted countless FKS bindings on pow skis flawlessly when I worked in a ski shop. He told me he'd been doing that for 20 years, and I told him he is the shittiest ski tech ever to not know how to mount bindings after 20 years. I finally got my $40 refund, but my FKS bindings are still fucked.
