Bag jumps in public parks?

I don't see why public parks don't have bag jumps. I ski at park city and im not aware of there budget but it seems like a big resort like that could afford one, then just charge for it like a day pass or something. What you guys think?

it would be nice so you don't have to pay a shitload to go to a camp. theres so many tricks i would love to learn.

Mammoth "rented" one this last season, give it more time and I'm sure you'll start seeing them pop up...........

Companies wishing to advertise should take them around to different hills. Advertise it like hills might advertise other events because a lot of people want to hit airbags.

One got put up at thredbo in australia. Apparantly you have to pay $40 for a safety course then its $10 per hit. Huge rip off in my opinion. Also i think some one has already broken their neck on it

windham has one- we go when I visit relatives- nice but it has an aerials style jump- oh and no inverts at all- which kinda takes the whole point of the bag away

They had two event open to the public but that cost 25 bucks. They did have it open to the public on the last 2 days though. They did not advertise it though. Might happen next year if vail decideds to buy it from Katal.

the one at thredbo has supposedly ripped already. someone cut it with a edge and they didnt do anything and kept it inflated and it "popped"
it's a total fuckin rip tho, i hit the one in niseko a few times and it was alright, but not worth paying money, let alone going on a different run and not going through the park.

Yea because that's a HUGE problem.

That would be so sick to have one close by. Really want to hit one.

That's fucked. There's no safety involved. At my hill, they check your edges for burrs, and tell you not to use poles, and away you go. The 'safety course' is all of 20 seconds of gear checking.

i want to airbag/water ramp so badly, just those few tries before you go to snow would make it soo much nicer to learn stuff

anyone seriously interested in buying the different size bags, i have the contacts for the north american rep for bagjump. this is one is built to last and can be set up for serious airtime... or, if your in contact with your park, or ski club, they can set up demos to show it...

not where i ski, its constant shot gun, everyone would pile up on the bag.sounds like an accidant waiting to happen

There was a plan to make a summer park... (Didn't work.) PCMR doesn't want to spend the extra money when we have the UOP. (Olympic park)

Sorry I'm an idiot, thought you meant summer bag jump.

The thing is, PCMR really doesn't give a decent budget for the park during the winter.

i hit the one in avoriaz about 2 years ago so much fun and great for learning new tricks and getting the confience to through it. they should be everywhere!!!

I feel like if you give it a few years than its def possible, but the thing is that if people start getting hurt on them u can kiss them good by.

Blue Mountain, PA had one last season, never got the chance to hit it up but heard it was pretty sick.
Most mountains that ive seen it at charge extra for it, so although its public, you still have to pay more to use it

I would definitely buy an extra ticket for one, but not pay for each hit. But that also means more kids doing an invert on a bag jump, throwing on a real jump, and getting badly hurt.
