Badly set up rails

Doesnt it suck when mountains dont know what they are doing in the park, and they dont build a jump up to a rail, especially rainbow rails so only snowboarders can hit it. Mountains like this suck, and they need to fix this

maybe they meant the rail to not have a jump up to it so its, umm i dont know a challenge? and how the fuck do u build a jump onto a rainbow rail, just make an ollie pad out of snow it takes the better of 2 minutes

i hate it how most rails are ride on, dont they realize there are skiers going bigger every day? they should put more respect to skiing! on 54321 all you see for winter sports is snowboarding and the odd 40 second ski segment! most snowboarders i know think skiing is gay, well it isnt that much different than snowboarding so they should shut up! so they should make more jumps to rails to show some respect to the sport

ya i tottaly agree. and if you try and fix it the boarders get mad then the park staff gets mad because they think people will hurt themselvex more but it actually prevents that. ie C.O.P

 
easy kids, you dont need much to get onto a rainbow rail, and it is possible to 'pop' with your skis. try it sometime.

dont know about you sassy girls, but jumping onto rails without a little kicker or something with long skis on is hard as fuck.

 
Yeah, it does really suck. Our hills rails were all set up badly. When we started bringing our own rails, things improved alot.

 
for rainbow rails and A frames thay have to be on tables for them to work good.

yeah word to that. okemo had a tiny rainbow rail last season and it was just pokin out of the ground, no table, no jump no nuthin, it was such a bitch to get onto.

yea i tried to hit it and i couldn't pop enough cause the stupid rail is like vert and then i slammed my face into the top of it... their rollercoaster or dragontail or whatever you want to call it... the one at okemo is possibly the worst set up rail ever it tilts totally to one side

 
yeah with the exception of the down kink and the rollercoaster okemo does have pretty shitty rails. oh and the s rail isnt too bad either

the rollercoaster rail is way too tight. it goes up and down too fast so its like grinding a set of speed bumps. the one flat rail they had on noreaster wasnt too bad though, short but it had a nice jump and some height to it, really smoove too.

yeah ride ons suck. whats even worse is when they make a ride on rainbow, which i can deal with, but when the snow up to it is barely wider than the rail so you have to ride one ski up it. thats when you know your resorts park sucks

 
yea just learn how to ride on to rails if the jump sucks ollie, for flat rails all you need is a small mound of snowit doesnt need to be perfect or anyhting, and ride ons arent hard and they are fun and really smooth. not everyithng needs to be perfectly manicured to be fun, you can get better that way too

my feet tend to slide out from underneath me when i try ride ons, but regular rails im fine. i cant get that good wide base goin and i cant get my weight centered either, i must suck ass.

at my park, the staff is lazy as hell, so we get these big trenches down the inrun right up to the start of the rail. it makes for a bit of a challenge
