Bad Vibe makes for a Bad Day....

So my brother and I headed out to our local resort last night to ski the park but our session seemed to be doomed from the start. When we pulled in the parking lot we passed 2 ambulance's, a fire truck, and 4 cop cars. When we walked out on the hill there were a bunch of kids running around screaming about someone who(God Forbid) broke his neck. When we arrived in the park there were only SKETCHY ass skiers and boarders hitting the jumps. I dragged my bro out there cuz I had a very progressive session a few nights earlier...well last night it took me literally 15 runs to land a stable straight air, let alone start spinning. The jumps were the same, my skill level hadn't changed...the only difference was the fucking creepy ass vibe in the park last night and it proved to ruin what we thought was going to be a great night. It is unbelievable how big of a difference it makes when you are surrounded by talented skiers rather than groovy gapers on 87' Olins...

It's the same when you see someone go down hard. I say listen to the Vibe. If it happened on a specific jump, maybe avoid that jump. Back off on your airs maybe and work on something random. Find something you can urban and practice lip ons. Ski a bunch of things switch. Hit some easy boxes and get creative. Don't try to beat the vibe; just slowly create your own.

Good call Mr. Huck! I actually focused on Switch 180's(im not that good) off a smaller jump for most of the night.

Nice!. Next time Zero all the small stuff. Carve in and zero. Try to carve switch in the air. Start carving left, air and land carving out right.
