Bad Mount?

Never had a warranty issue with any of my skis before, so thought I'd ask you guys' experience. Been riding my Liberty's for 4 days and had a little crash. Instead of the binding releasing the whole heel came off, I'd say quite confidently that the binding shouldn't have released anyway as I've had similar falls and the skis have stayed on with no probs, with both the Libertys and my old Armadas.

Was just wondering, if it is a bad mount, would I be within my rights to ask for the store to replace the skis as they are only 4 days old, they screwed the mount up and I'm not too happy about the idea of them having to do a re-mount over something that isn't really my fault? Cos surely they'd have the re-mount the bindings further back or forwards and then they wouldn't be in the place I want them...

Here's the damage:http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=42976&l=ea88e&id=501725686

may have been a bad mount. did they glue the holes? difficult to prove its just the shops fault though, may be a weak core. The old holes can be heli-coiled or you can use plastic inserts which wont affect mountig position.2 mounts on a ski will make zero difference apart from you have to move at least 1cm fwd or back.

I highly doubt that the bindings pulled out because of a bad mount. When bindings pull out, it's usually because of the ski's core not being sturdy enough or having irregularities in the wood. I would contact Liberty and see if they can help you out. They have a 3-year warranty on all their skis.

unless the tech strips out the holes and doesnt helicoil them. talk to the shop first, see what they think about it, then talk to liberty. hopefully both are accommodating.
