BAD IDEA?

So i have some old seth pistols lying around because i ripped the binding out like 3 times so the shop will not remount them. I got new skis but i kinda want the pistols for backcountry stuff. So this brings me to my question. WOuld it be a bad idea to mount binding on them by myself? Im pretty sure they will rip out again so I figured why not try again. Would it be dangerous to try though. I don't know too mucha bout the whole mounting process.

the thing is I bought them used so i took that risk and no warranty but the guy fucked me over and sold me sksi that had already been mounted once and the holes hadnt been filled properly so the core got damaged.

have all the holes been filled and repaired where the bindings have been ripied out?

It's preyy hard to mount if you don;t have a jig.

Duct tape.

If they rip out at bad time you could get fucked brutally. Why risk it? They'll come out under less stress then if a pro had mounted it.

Send them to me, I'll hang them on my wall or something.

ye dont do it man , i work in a shop and god knows how many times we tried to get suied by guys who think they can mount their shit and fuck up and get hurt , its not worth it.

yeah thats what i thought. What exactly could happen to me if i tried it though. LIke are knee injuries more common or what kinda risks would i be taking?

you got so fucked.....but think about how much more fucked you'll be when you remount the bindings, go to the top of a chute, and your bindings break and you gotta walk down.....fucked

Is worth missing the rest of the season when you rip your knee to shreds

After being mounted 3 times the skis arern't going to be very durable anymore. You can fill the holes and all but it won't make much difference. As far as mounting them yourself don't do it. You might be able to get a shop to do it as long as you sign a waiver relieving them of liability. Also I don't know what everyone is so worried about. The only thing that will happen is the binding will tear out which will save his knee just like the binding releasing

D-loc's picture looks like a monkey smoking that cig. If you had a mug like that would you really want everyone to see it.

just mount them yourself, eye ball it. of glue your boots to the skis.

I think Anthony Boronowski in general is just a phase.

turn the skis around and put the tail forward and mount them where there are no holes, then only use them for riding backwards.

haha yea real terrible idea. Id say put them up for sale in Ski Equip. MAybe sum once would want them as decoration or collection u could make gettin some cash out of it!! Thats what i would do

If you mounted the Line binding without the adapter plate..... ????

ive mounted bindings many times myself, nothing ever happened

mount them on center where there (probably) aren't holes and jib on em. I know seth pistols aren't the greatest for urban or anything, but at you could trash em and not worry about it

ive mounted my own, its not hard. either fill in the holes or mount them in a new spot. if you really want then research how to mount em. i think it is rediculous to pay someone to mount your bindings for you. if they are already busted and cant be warrentied than u have nothing to loose. plus youll learn how to mount for the future.

Just remount them in a different spot, have them drill you some new holes

you need a jig to mount them correctly. and, since i can guarentee you don't have a jig, or even know what a jig does, you shouldn't mount em' yourself. you've got 2 options.

1. try to do the line binding/adaptor plate setup.

2. get a shop that knows what they're doing to do it.

doesnt matter if you get them used, my buddy bought a broken pair of enemys from some guy for $20 and sent them back and got a brand new pair, just had to pay for shippin, k2 is real good about warrantys

you can mount them your self no problem just do it in the right spot. when the binding releases it makes no difference as to how you screwed them to your skis. as long as you do it in the right spot it doesnt make a diffeence who mounts them. i sold a pair of skis to a kid who mounted them himself with a drill and screwdriver and they work great.

good Lord, please don't mount them yourself. Like offtrail said, do you enjoy walking? Befriend someone at a shop and have them mount it, or send them to K2

i would mount them myself if no one else will do it. i mounted alot of my own skis that i use for rails and shit skis. If u line them up right and set your bindings right u should be fine.

I Rep for K2 and I tell you what they are not going to Warranty them. Warranty is 1 year against manufacters defects and workmanship. Holes in a ski, damp core...not warranty.

Mount em 5+ forward like Seth boy and ski em.

ive mounted bindings by taking the drill bit and putting a piece of tape around it while its in the original hole so i know how deep i have to go then place my binding on the ski, drill my holes, put some good old white school glue in and screw on my bindings with a fucken screwdriver as tight as i can and it has never failed, all of you are just fucken pussys, even is your binding does fall off, how does it differ than having loose bindings and your ski popping off all the time?? your at the same risk all the time so dont fucken bother wasting money on it

My time is winding down.............just wait for it
