Does anyone have any experience in comparing these? I'm hoping the Bacons are going to be a little softer and easier to butter. I have the Mothership 182 right now and besides the extra width what else am I going to notice if I pick up the Bacons? Did the Motherships have the elliptical sidecut?

Depends on the year, the ones with titanium were hella stiff, the flite's weren't too bad. Bacons are a totally different ski with different riding in mind, softer, very tight radius sidecut, back country jib ski. Mothership is more of an all-mountain ski.
