Bacon vs Blog vs other ~110 waist skis

I am incredibly in love with my blogs, they preform everywhere BUT I so far as I can tell the bacons feel very similar and they have the sickest graphics of all time. Honestly you are trying to choose between two great skis...good luck

well I went that fat. I got the 2012 blog mounted to griffon 12's, in a 177. Should be great with the rocker it should ski like a 173-ish like I'm used too. Getting it mounted right now and taking it out tonight on night skiing at keystone to see how these suckers do on piste. Will be posting a review of them later on tonight.

I have the 2013 blogs and I absolutely love them on piste. They carve way better than expected and are the funnest ski I've been on. Youll love em

I fucking love thee skis. Going from full Camber underfoot to 60%Camber makes this ski so much fun, being able to slide that tail out and I love the flex. went out when it qas super icy and hard piste and they did better tan I thought, with litl to none.chatter. Cant wait to rip these in the fluffy stuff. Where do yu have yours mounted? I jave mine

2 back from dead center, love the placement

I have this years Blogs and I love them! Their rocker keeps the tips from diving in 2ft+ pow. I found that they are very easy to fuck around on and are somewhat buttery, yet I have charged from the summit of my mountain and boosted 20ft+ cliffs without washing out. I find them incredibly light with marker griffon bindings. I mount mine at the 'team' line and I just love them, no regrets whatsoever. The bases have held up exceptionally as I like to use trees and rocks as jumps/jibs.

I ski Northern B.C. so these should hold up to the resorts you mentioned in your OP.

You won't be disappointed.

I have mine mounted at the team mount and couldn't be happier. I'm the same in that this is my first pair of rockered skis and it's just more fun than I can even imagine. Pow is the only conditions i havent skied them in yet, i've been at keystone breck and vail the last week and there has been basically no new snow. go to alta/snowbird starting tomorrow so hopefully that changes.

I was thinking abmounting them at the team, but I dont ride 2+ ft.of pow here at keystone, so I though mounting more near dead center for all around mountain resort jibbing was more my style. Loving that placement

Bump.

I e-mailed on3p and found that they wont be having any more sales. I'm so bummed but price is a big factor in my purchase so...

Anyways it looks like i will be trying to get the bacons on sale sometime. What size bacons should i look for.

I would look at the 184 if you are looking for more stability, speed, charging, etc while you could ski the 178 for playfulness, maneuverability, etc. There isn't a big difference between the two, I doubt you would notice 6 cm very much but it would come down to personal preference.

I advise getting the longer size. As I have got better at skiing, my skis have gotten longer (167...then 175...181...186), while I've grown maybe 2 inches and stayed pretty much the same weight. I have seen my friends do the same as well. It would be unfortunate if you bought skis and found that they felt too small after a year.

The 178 bacons run short bro, although i liked the ski so much i bought the 184 this year. I am 5'10.

Definitely get the 184's... I am 6' and kind of wish they had a longer version. Also Line skis run a little shorter as the 184's measure out to around 181-182... at least for me.

I have the 2011/2012 SFBs and they are a definite recommend for powder skiing! I have skied them in everything from skied out crud to mid-thigh powder, and they performed great in all conditions. They are super soft so nice for playing around! Mine are the 172 length, but I am only 5'7, so definitely go for the size up for you. Good luck!
