does anyone know how they make that bacon they serve at restraunts like ihop, or at buffets at like hotels or whatever thats always sooooo good? its like sorta crispy but not, and kinda thin, and it tastes awesome! but whenever i make baon at home its either just all fatty and mushy, or crispy as fuck.

try cooking it in a skillet rather than nuking it... i find you have more control of the outcome of the final product

don't ever microwave bacon thats gross.... fry it in a frying pan and just flip it and don't let one side burn to fuck my dad makes it bomb as fuck...

i saw the title and for a sec thought u were talking about the skis and i was like skis dont belong in restraunts

I used to work as a chef at the sheraton in sydney and there is no real trick to it.

cook in a skillit with butter not margarine or cooking oil. keep the fat on then trim half way through cooking just before you flip it that way you keep alot of the flavour on the skillit andf then into the meat.

do you use the thick cut stuff?  cause i think that might be a part of why it tastes like poop, cause the stuff in restraunts seems thinner. and like greasier mabye?

it just pisses me off cause bacon is like my favorite food in the world when i eat it at restraunts, and if i could cook it like that at home id be soooo happy!

I think everyone isn't hitting the mark. While the bacon the restaraunt uses has some effect on it. The major factor is the griddle they use. Think about what they cook it on, a seasoned flat huge cooking surface that is conditioned like no other. Also restaraunt griddles transfer heat so much better than your range ever can at home. Also you're probably using a skillet that doesn't uniformly spread the heat so you have hot and cold spots causing your bacon to be cooked differently. The best way I've come across to cook it is to use a good solid caste iron skillet with a bacon press. Then your bacon will come out delicious

I work at a restaraunt and the bacon is so nasty compared to the stuff my dad cooks up at home. They put it on these nasty ass trays and throw it in the oven. Everyone at work like the bacon but I can't stand it. sofa king gross

you know topics are killed when a thread like this pops up.. but i not hating, its a legit question haha

i usually buy like pre cooked pre cut bacon and just put it on the pan and it tastes amazing. i cant find any normal raw bacon thats cut so thinly.
