Backyard ski park with rope tow

Well I finally completed the park setup before winter hit and it is amazing. Last year me and my buddies were done with hiking up the hill so much so we decided we would put in a rope tow and hopefully get more people to come out and shred. After endless hours of grinding on the rope tow adjusting it and trying different things to get it to function, it runs super nice. Now comes the painful wait before it actually snows. I am trying to get a larger motor so it can haul more people up the hill. Any help from any of you fellow newschoolers would be much appreciated. You can help me out on my gofundme page right herehttps://www.gofundme.com/backyard-ski-hill /. Also any one that lives in Wisconsin and wants to come ride the setup is welcome to come.

Looks rad! You should post some photos of the rope tow setup or maybe some video to show its current speed when pulling weight!

I like how the kickers are already made out of dirt so you dont need more than 2" of snow to be riding.

Making the kickers out of snow saves so much time and effort in the winter and its great for the backyard where I can't really make big kickers from snow very easy. Also I am near Black River Falls.

Love the park and your passion. I can't help with a donation as I am just as broke as the rest of the NS community but I appreciate your stoke

I just donated 10 bucks! maybe more in the future because this is so damn sick.

Thank you so much man helps a ton! hopefully pretty quick here ill be able to put a edit up of it in action.

2 months late but this is so sick! I live in MN but I ride troll about 3 times a week so I'm not too far. How long would the drive be from your setup to Troll?

How did you make this tow? We are looking to make one in our backyard park but are thinking a solar option. Unsure of how to do it.

Charge a small fee for the lift and or do a work to ride policy like BMX trails used to do. If you wanted to ride trails you had to put in some shovel time to help maintain them. Good policy for volunteer built stuff. Also brings more respect into it. If the people riding it are helping work, they're more likely to keep things nice and not trash the place.

Good luck! Looks sick!
