Backyard ski hill.

Looks sick. And i have been thinking about it and you dont have to shape the whole hill as a down flat down just like a side or something. I think shaping the hill would make it really sick even if it would just in the future.

that looks sick man, but the pics seem a little misleading, since you have nothing to look at to compare. maybe have somebody stand next to it so we can see it better

I live in NY also (about 15 minutes north of utica) and I'm planning on doing a similar thing here. I have a good hill going that I use for rails, but I'm going to convert it into the landing for a tow in step down with a snowmobile. Its going to be about a 40' gap once its built.

My only problem is that there is like a 4' sweet spot on my landing, on like a 30' hill because there isn't a constant even angle.. I'm going to dig it out, but I'm probably going to end up doing it by hand. I'll make my friends help me though. I can't wait until next winter for it though. Sooo extited

just mapquested it. thats not far from my house at all. if you want, we can get some sessions going

For sure dude. I want to get into filming more this year. A tow in edit would be pretty dope.

Hopefully in a few weeks when i get my report card, my grades will be alright and i will get my birthday present.(HV40) we could use that. Im so stoked to get it. my birthday was in april and i still have not gotten it.

just realized you live near albany, i live about 15 minutes southeast of syracuse, maybe we could sesh it up sometime

Damn that is sick, I'm so jelous. I reckon get/make a whole bunch of log rides or something... and a butter box

i'm so stoked for you! thats going to be so much fun.

as for features, definitely go for those that will give you the most bang for your buck and that are versatile. such as down rail with dink at the end, an up-rail, nice-sized kicker, and some creative stuff. the cliff thing could be so dope. maybe make the cliff slightly higher and have a wallride set-up on the top-side of it, an then have an urban-style drop off the back. oh and you have to find a good tree for a tree-jib. i'm going on a little bit now so i'll stop, but the possibilities!!

yea that didnt make any sense sorry

"this looks sick but it seems like (in the other pictures) the forest start like 10 ft after the jump?"

that has been a life long goal of mine. it'll proably work out really good. and ilive pretty close and also am part of a park setup crew its at willard mountain outside of willard. im down to help you out and sesh that all day i live just outside of albany also

needs some more welds, but i ran out of gas, and some fresh paint.

It's not rusty at all. Its just dirty and stuff. It's not rust or else I would have gotten different steel.

Sick, having a backyard park is awesome.

This is mine from last year (its not year round), df, 12 ft box, wallride and a small jump.

However next year we have big plans. Building huge drop in on top of the hill to get a jump hopefully twice/three times as big as the picture above. Rails: DFD, 16 ft flatbar, cannon rail to steep landing, and the box will be just extra to attach onto the other rails.

I don't really know. It's just my dads wire feed. I know how to use it but I don't know what it is.

OMFG i live in Saratoga i'm definitely just gonna show up at your house and ski with you who knows maybe i'll even help you a little

dammmmnnn shawty. throw some plywood in between the supports though, catching supports on a rail is such a bitch
