Backyard park

We are currently in the process of building a backyard park and we want to build a metal rail similar to the ones youd find in a regular park. Weve been having trouble figuring out exactly what kind of metal pipe to use and how to put it 2gether (preferably without welding due to our lack of welding torches). ive got a shitload of cement so however we build it weel b able to cement the posts into the ground so we dont have to use the teepee method, any creative ideas are appreciated

i had the same problem. if i were you i would just find a big hill near your house and make a kicker, just practice threes or something.

learn how to weld and get a torch

Alright im 15, going out and buying welding equiment isnt an option, and weve already begun shoveling dirt for the table. But we really wanted to get a nice metal parkstyle rail. Any ideas, im reaaaaaaaally open minded

well, build dirt to the rail if you can build dirt for the tabletop, just stick it in the dirt mound

I'd get a diamond tip drill bit, drill holes on the bottom of the rail and then bolt it to some pieces of wood.

do u just use metal plumbing pipe or where or how do u get a hold of this pipe and how much is it, i was at home depot earlier tongihg and all they had was galvanized pipe which wont slide

electrical conduit pipe should doe the trick just make sure you support it enough. Im making a backyard park to it will be sweet. You get speed for it from like a 6 foot drop of my shed onto a nice steep snow landing.

go to home depots fencing section and check out the metal piping they have in there. the name of it slips my mind at the moment but it works great, ive made quite a few rails with it. its cheap, but its somewhat weak and can dent and burr if you bang it around enough

you can rent welding equipment for a few days. Or just make a rail out of PVC if you don't wanna weld

ok what u do it go to rona and get a pice of wood and a a piece of meatl that will fit on top of the wood the metal has to be thin then screw the meatl onto the wood then take wooden post and atach it to the bottom of the rail put it in the ground i put mine on a hill with a jump onto it so it wa all sloping down u have to screw the screws in that are holding the metal and wood together in really far so it dosnt fuck up ur bases and put a little wax on the rail just in case

what if i bought the metal pipes, the end of the pipes are made so they can screw together, so what if i had a hole drilled into the main pipe that ill b sliding and then screwed the supports into the main pipe? I was watching dynariders rail setups and their sick, ne1 know how he made those?

you can always go to your local school or park in the middle of the night with a hacksaw. I mean who needs handrails more, skiiers or old people who are gonna die anyway?

But im just talking tough, im to pussie to do that. One i made was a piece of wood with wood supports and i nailed some kind of aliminium or something on. It works quite well, the metals folded over so there's no nails on the top. I also went to the local dump and found some metal pipe stuff that was already bent down at both ends, which was sweet

If I had more energy, I'd burn that young mans face

stealing a hand rail would be the easiest way...maybe not the best...but the cheapest (not counting court cost) and the least amount of work

Ryno got the last one . Here is a new riddle:

pvc is the easiest, otherwise wood works. if you need steel then you need a 2x4 and self tapping screws from the bottom up into the pipe

just throw caution to the wind.

You could get some J.B. Weld or possibly epoxy (although I don't know if epoxy will be strong enough). J.B. Weld will be strong enough for sure. It is a special type of glue that takes a touch to undo so don't get it stuck to your fingers.
