this summer i want to build a park with some friends, i was wondering

1. How do you make a box? i dont know how to make it other than just out of wood

2. anyone know how to make a ropetow? i hear u can do it with a lawnmower engine

3. can i get sued if someone breaks their arm? is there any way to avoid that like some contract?

make a frame for the box of a selected hieght by making H's out of 2x4's then make two rectangles to go around the H's, one on top and one on bottom. lay plywood down on the top and screw some sort f plastic or slippery stuff on the top. go to your local hardware store and see hwat you can get your hands on. good luck

ill upload pictures of how we built are shit; we had a 16 ft long 4.6 to 4ft high flat drop rail/box, a down rail/box, a down with metal coping, a table set up going at a up slant, a flat to kink to flat box, and a rainbow rail.. next season where putting in a c-box, downkink rail(urban style), 16ft+ flat rail, various new projects and a really uniqe rail that no mountain has.

you can use carpet but i recomend orange snowfence. i think there is a really shitty picture of me using it in my profile. it works good as liong as you dont really want to turn. as for sruface i have heard of tons of shit. i hav HEARD teflon, fiberglass, sheetmetal, lexan, and plastics. near me my hardware store sells 4foot by 8 foot sheets of a flexible plastic. i think its for siding maybe? im not sure but it would work and i was going to use it but never got around to making another box. if you dont mind not skiing down the middle, angle irons on either side of the box works well.

Those snowflex parks are popular here, most of our comps go on either at sheffied snowflex park/pipe or in an indoor snowdome, all in england. Show's how much scotland's ski seasons have been destroyed.

just make a contract that says they are skiing there at their own risk, and u r not responsible for injury or death and have them sign it. thats all it should take

i use to have a sick quarter pipe. I got big for where i live. The starting was a drop in from five feet then you go down five feet, then down a 14 foot hill straight then off a 10 or 12 foot quarter pipe getting about 5 to 8 feet pulling flips and spins of zero spins. It was the best. i didn't do it this year

so your sayiong you want to be pulled by a go kart while on skis and standing on the stuff? you could and it would deffinatly work but its $10 per square foot(as far as i know) so its not worth it. once again, stick with the orange snow fence stuff. it workls and witha go kart and wqater and soap, you should have enough speed

like he used the old for skiing or was it in his house? i think most carpet works when wet and soaped and witha tow it should work but i still recomend the snow fence

i make a kinked rail and shor gun rail outa metal with no welding at all! the shot gun was made by screwing 2 metal pipes onto a wodden fram

the kinked rail was made by screwing bed rails onto a 2x4 frame both work good =)

Someone should make a cult for this. as for your ropetow and old car works the best, just cut a slit (not very deep) in the tire for your rope to go in and put a pulley or something at the bottom and you have your rope tow
