Any body heard of the backyard blizzard? It's this personal snowmaking machine that you plug into your hose and it makes one inch of snow per hour over like the entire yard and it kicks so much ass. For more info got to www.backyardblizzard.com and check it out. perfect if you've got a hilly backyard, for making jumps for rails in the summer. i want one so bad. they're like $2500 i think. Not bad for snow in the summer, eh?

 
You can't use them in the summer... they work like snow making machines so it has to be less than -5 (or 20 maybe for the americans)..

ya harvey is right... unless u get cold winters and almost no snow where u live i owuld not buy one.. and on top of the 2.5k to buy it im sure u must have to spend a lot more mony on the stuff u use to make the snow

i bet u as much mony as possible u cant make snow with water, go and try u need to add cchemicals and shit

 
if you go to their website they have a section where it tells you how to make snow for higher temps and that is when you need to add chemicals.

 
if you have your own air compressor you can make one for like $30 Us, You can by all the hose parts at a plumbing store, you use the pipe tape to seel all your connections good and just drill a tiny hole in a flat cap pice that goes on the end, if you hook your pipes up right the air and water mix together spray out the tiny hole in a fine mist at a high speed, the mist crystalizes almost instantly at like -5 Celcieous and makes about 1-2 inces of snow an hour covering an area like 6x20 meters, i read a big article a while back on how to make it, if you use dirty water from like a slough are stream the water crystalizes better and faster, but normal hose/tap water will work.

actually you dont need to add chemicals, just inject high amounts of 02 at a very high pressure

at least i think thats what it said on the discovery channel

is o2 oxygen? i mentally skipped science last year, and the year before.... and 3rd grade.... a screw it i'm getting a backyard blizzard if you live in boston wanna chip in and you can partially own it?
