Backseat

what is skiing>?>??> haha , anyhow backseat, when your landing backseat skiing backseat, your going to be leaning far back, not good, you loose balance and are out of contorl and may crash, backseat is just how it sounds ur falling backwards.

i don't know how much edges really do in POW, but I ride a little back seat in pow, but within reason, I lose correctness and go with the comfort

Skiing too far back is also a great way to tear your ACL. A lot of knee injuries in skiing occur because people get too far back on their skis, they lose control, their skis go two different directions, and POP! there goes your ACL.

it hurts like a bitch when you land in the backseeat and smash your calf or bash your shina dn it makes my legs sore if i ski in the backseat to i dont do it

OK Whatever you say. Lets go ski some pow in the mountains and then tell me you don't need to lean back to ski pow on centre mounted sticks. Unless its a 210 fat ski!

Which makes me think that would be so sick for ripping things backwards! 210 cm 145mm tip 110 waist 125mm tail.

I can be serious. Leaning back, and riding backseat on your tails are different. Most of the time though, I keep a stacked body position, and am not leaning back, off of drops I land so that my tips don't sink. Other than that, you're dead wrong.

just keep your chest forward and point your body with your shoulders and chin...you'll make it down the bowls without riding in the backseat...

I really don't like all this "correct" ski form business. I just ski, seriously. When I ski pow, sometimes I lean back and just plow it out, sometimes I have normal body position. It's all about going with the flow.

landing backseat means u get shitbang which = bruises and that = not being able to ski leaning forward they way it should be done as well

you will find that u'll lean forward a little too much from a drop into deep pow and then front flip on the landing. happened the other day. fucking anoying.

I don't know what all of youa re talkign about skiing backseat in the pow. Just go faster, and you ski just like anywhere else. It is hard to prevent tip dive on more centered skis if you are going slow, but it is still bad form.

I ride a bit back seat in the pow for sure, not a ton but a bit, I don't know what I'm talking about?

And you on;y land backseat on BC booters into pow.

when you land you should land on your boots. well, that area of the ski.

people jam their tails down, and thats shitty form kids.

if you come up short thats a different story, but you should land centered over your skis... wight wise i mean.

Haha, you def didn't watch close enough. Hahaha. It's not just one shot, it's every shot. The kid can't even land his "signature" trick cleanly. Watch his whole segment, the reason he eats shit off that huge step down, and flails like a motherfucker is because he's skiing totally backseat, he lands it on his back. All the other jumps, look at the flex of his skis, and how his tails are the only part making contact with the snow, he's barely landing shit.

i think skiing backseat is what saves mr. wilson though.

when overshoots huge shit his tails suck up all the impact.

keep your hands forward and you'll be fine. sure, you might think it doesn't look as steezy or whatever, but it's good form and the people who actually matter will realize this when they see it.
