Backseat Landings

Well I'm sure this has been talked about before, but I tried a quick search on the forums and I didn't come up with much, but any tips would be appriciated. Anytime I go to spin, even 3's, I almost always am landing in the backseat. I've heard some people talk about looking down back over your shoulder and some other people have suggested throwing your right arm down a bit(being careful not to go misty). Thanks a lot, my legs can't take much more of this... ha.

Make sure you start your spin in the air, not on the lip. This way, you can get your jump down first then get your 3s goin. The head looking down over your spinning shoulder works for me, so make sure you do it right.

yeah, you are just spinning as hard as you can and not looking down at the same time, so you get backwards off axis, corked pretty much and stay there...you need to make sure you go off the jump and be centered and pop up like on a tramp, then spin and you will be on axis and spot your landing early so you can adjust accordingly...practice on a tramp helps

MT_hed got it right, keep your hands forward and up going into the jump, jump off your toes, spin or whatever then make sure your hands are up when your landing. use them as a scope to see your landing kepp em up by your face in a bus driver position, hit the ground, absorb and ride away clean.

sacrifice, to some its just a word, to others it is a code, what matters is the colony, he is willing to live for the colony, fight for the colony, die for the colony.

spin as you are going of the jump. not before or not when your already in the air. you allmost jump and spin at the same time. try to watch some videos of pros doing 3's. candide's hit off the monster table is a perfect example for how you are supposed to take of the jump. even tho he goes way bigger, the same rules apply. Don't give up. It will get easier.

I'm pretty sure I'm popping right off the jump and the rotation feels awesome in the air, so I'm sure it's just a little tweek I need to make as I set my spin. I got some good ideas now though, so I'm sure I'll be stompin them in no time. Thanks everyone.

adjust ur shoulders, make sure when ur setting ur spin one should is raising and our dipping.

When you turn your head to start spinning look more towards the ground. The first time you'll kill yourself then after that it'll be easy. I had the same problem.
