Do what you want, just do it away from me.

hey, ive got the dakine helipack, which is totally awsome, and a jack wolfskin, ralley or somthing, i really like both of them, lots of room and comfortable

I have a dakine helipack and my friend has a heli pro. Both are awesome for hiking, skiing, whatever. The don't get in the way if huckin' while it's on. Dakine makes some of the best stuff.

eveyrone at camp had dakines, i guess that is a sign.

i have miy north face and love it. as for backpacking packs, just make sure it fits. and internal//extrenal frames is pure preference i guess.

I have a D.A.L. pack. it is a small leather company that also makes backpacks. it is sweet. lifetime warrenty that I should look into. but yeah. it is small enough not to bother me while skiing or riding a lift, but big enough to carry all my stuff. a good day pack.

I got some Salomon backpack. Its ripping on the bottom, but it looks sweet. I just wish my little bro didn't copy me and get the same backpack

Do you mean hiking as in hiking to ski or as in big long walks??

If ski hiking then I use this:

On piste: My little K2 fluidlink - very good

Off piste: A 42liter 'Kathmandu' (probably can't get them in the USA or Canada) extreme ski/alpine climbing pack, - also very very good.

For hiking I have a 78liter 'One Planet' (also probably can't get them in the USA or Canada) hiking pack, very very very good, big, but good.

don't drink and drive cause you might spill your beer.

The Dakine Heli pack straps your skis diagonally across the pack...holds them pretty well. The heli pro is a little bigger and holds them along them sides.

Make sure that you go try on a pack before you buy it (and put some skis on it as well). They are all a little different, and if one doesn't fit well it will suck hiking with it...no matter how 'good' it is.

da kine vertex is the same size and is made for skiing instaed of the heli-pro which is made for boarding just with the cross carry added

yah, dakine packs are totally sweet. Of the packs i looked at..nothing compared. I use the poacher which is a pretty big pack...so if you like to over pack on hikes like i do or plan on multiday stuff...this is a good choice.

just get any dakine bag w/ the cross carry system, i think mines called the poacher, gots room for shovel, camelback, other stuff, i think biger than the heli, most of em are good, jsut get one that fits you

Can't go past a heli pro the carry system rocks. They are fine for day trips in the backcountry but if you are planning on staying out over night you need something bigger. In my opinion the helipro is more uesful than the vertex, cause all those extra straps can come in handy.

I can easily fit in my helipro,

2lt bladder, crampons, probe, shovel, first aid kit, food, space blanket, extra layers, map, compass, gps, ski tool.

tim that was so funny lol 'big long walks'

and even if CoC was sponsored by dakine...doesn't mean that the riders would automatically have their packs. i was saying they must begood for riding, cuz everyone had them. not like they were giving them out....but it woulda been cool if they did....
