Backing up my DVDs

Hey what's another program besides Shrink that's pretty reliable and preferably free? I'm having problems with Shrink.

I use Magic DVD ripper, works well for just ripping them. I'm pretty sure its free.

if you got a mac the program "mac the ripper" is really good

by backing up do you really mean making illegal copies?

Your brilliant! You should be on CSI.

In my case, however, I have a lot of movies, including ski movies, that I watch a lot at home, and also want to bring a copy to our mountain house in Truckee.

So in this case, thanks for your concern for the movie industry... but I think I should have the right to back up my own movies.

k so i can burn no problem with DVD+R's but they only play on Sony specific products..but when i try to use DVD-R's it freezes up, can anyone gimme a little advice?
