Backflips

so I have really good tramp air control and can do all sorts of tricks. I can backflip almost anywhere.

the two places I can’t are skis and ground. So I’m working on ground and made some progress. But what about skis. Any tips for getting over this fear. I have a place like Woodward but even then it’s still sketch.

I’d also like to know the way out lol. I can backie off everything, even swingsets. But my first backie on skis ended bad. My tramp game is sick but I don’t feel like it translates to snow well

Had this same problem for a while, the only solution is just doing them. It’s mental, you already know the set, go do it.

That’s valid. Every time I go to the airbag I’m gonna go then I bail last second.

If u can this winter build a small to medium lip that is steep, without a gap to speak of, into deep powder with out rocks. I’m not talking big BC booter here. Just a crappy lil jump with soft landing and steep lip.

make sure you set it proper, but remember to stay relaxed in the air. It’s all mental if u got em on tramps already.

if u can force yourself to get upside down once, in a low consequence situation, you should be able to take it to park jumps etc.

Ok I’ll try that. I know after doing it once and then a few more times. It’ll come easy and I’ll be confident in them I just gotta do it

the steeper the takeoff the better. If you can find a really steep wind lip hit those work great, also if your hill has a halfpipe they are really easy to learn out of the end of the halfpipe. Just try to find something that kicks you up really high, it’ll make it easier to get around the first time

Man I’m so jealous of you kids. Foam pits, airbags, trampolines..etc. Everything I learned was by watching videos and then taking it straight to the park. Double front flip, rodeos, switch double back, under flips, corks, Misty’s. I feel like I lost out on so much progression because it took so long to muster up the courage to throw new big tricks.

Sounds like you are already overdue for backflips. Try feeling like you’d rather try it and die than go home without attempting. This works because you will stick it anyway.

Way less effort than building a shitty jump, like I said. Send it with confidence

Yeah its unfair. and now with global warming the snow isn't as hard as it used to be either!

Dudes, basically all you have to do is stop being a PUSSY!

The ONLY way you will hurt yourself is if you DONT COMMIT! Or if some gay ass nigga on atomics gets in the way.

Go as if you would do your normal flip. Tuck and shit
