Backflips on trampoline to the slopes?

So, i can do back flips on trampolines extremely easy, i know its not hard. But, I'm going skiing tomorrow and i really want to do a back flip on my skis. So, is there a significant difference between doing back flips on trampolines, to doing them off of semi-poppy jumps? Any tips?

your center of gravity will be a little lower on your body because of your skis and boots, but other than that its just commit. I was having serious doubts skiing into the jump on my first one but I didn't speed check and I just went backwards. It was probably the longest second of my life but I got back up and did it again. Then I had a bad crash, waited a week and finally got it. supper easy and you will feel like the man after you do it.

i was too scared to backflip a tramp. on snow, i just hucked it off a park jump when it was kinda soft, and overrotated. so fun. landed it next try. seriously, do it. it's so easy.

As in, when you try, try it. Don't get halfway around and pussy out because that's how people get hurt. It's way better to huck and over rotate(to a certain extent) than to get scared when you're past the point of no return. Which is basically when you're upside down. You got it dude, just huck and commit.

Its VERY easy. One of the biggest mindfuck in skiing. Simply because its sooo scary at first, but after you realise that it requires less skills than a 180. From what I remember, my first one felt alot like on trampoline.Just go for it, if you try it on a 30 footer, you wont need to pop hard, simply lean back and spot your landing. Trust me, feels great afterward, you dont want to miss that feeling.

find something real poppy to try it off first, the bottom of the halfpipe is a really good spot. just remember to wait for the lip, pop hard and pull your knees in.

I crashed hard on my first try because I thought it would be exactly the same as on a tramp and didn't quite. Then I whatched this https://www.newschoolers.com/web/content/tvchannel/id/4770/t/Tech+Talk+Thursdays/

Next day I went skiing and stomped it first try. Follow the rules in the video^ and soon you be throwing them just about everywhere :D

That video was excellent! The thing is I ski Timberline and there jumps aren't too poppy. I think i can manage, i'll give it 100%. Check timberlinelodge.com and check out their jumps, you'll see what i mean.

Frontflips are easier for me, if you can't already go for frontflips first, helped me out a ton.

and commit.

Yeah imo frontflips are way harder than backies. You basically just have to pop up, lean back, spot your landing, and don't pussy out in the middle and you'll be fine regardless of whether or not you land, and you'll feel real steezy.

Also make sure you do it infront of a bunch of gapers, they'll go nuts.

yeah frontflips were much easier for me too. Idk why maybe its just cause you can tuck and rotate faster therefore do it off a smaller jump and i think frontflips are easier to land too. But backflips are definitely a cooler trick to do and look much better than fronts imo, unless the front is a superman front.

This was today, I'm pretty sure i have good enough form.

Looks good but I don't recommend tryna lay out your first back haha keep it simple at first, just tuck up, spot, and land.
