Well, I used to be able to land a backflip on a trampoline, but then once landed on my head, completely lost my nerve and however hard I try, I cannot get myself to go past my neck, and it hurts, lol.

Any tips? Technique and Mentally.

tuck and pull back. i really dont see why you guys are pussing out. easy shit. well i guess if you guys are afraid to do it, thenyou shouldnt be doing it

haha i have a problem too i when poolseshing alooooot in the summer and so i was used to jumping backwards out away fromm the board and now when i do them on a tramp i literally fly upside down off the trampoline :( lol

man , i used to be so scared of them, then one time i just got my bed quilt thingy and put it on the trampoline and just did one, it was awsome and now they just come so easy, i can do them with no bounce

thats weird... that happened to me the first one i tried and then i realized i could make it all the way and got it my next try

just commit and dont puss out halfway through

For some reason frontflips on a tramp feel way less sketch for me.

I'm used to doing backflips off cliffs and bridges and stuff into water too, so it feels wierd not pushing off hard and getting some lateral movement in there.

Just have someone take your legs out while your in the air, then you will do a backflip...or you will land on your head again.

i trya rodeo and nutted myself on the side of the tramp and i dont try anything on the tramp anymore

yeah i have like a 16ft tramp and i did a backflip and slammed my shins on the metal and now im affraid to do them again its such a freaky feeling liek oyu want to do it you go back but u pull ur self foward again

The first day I learned to do them I was just doing them over and over and then on one I over-rotated and landed on my back on the metal bar...

...now I just haven't tried them since...

Ok, I can teach anyone to do a backflip on a trampoline. This method has worked for many people - everyone who has tried. I assume you can jump up, land on your back, and spring back to your feet, right? Well here's what you do: start by standing, falling to your back like you're going to spring up, but instead of standing back up, roll backward to your feet. As you do this, add a flipping motion to it. Then start from jumping, to landing on your back, and "flipping" backward to your feet. This gets you the complete feeling of a backflip, without any danger of landing on your neck. After you get good at this, a backflip will come easily and feel like the most natural thing. Take it slow, and I'm sure you'll get it.

omg, thats exactly how i learned to do it.^ exept i was just doing it, didnt read any thing about how. but yeah that works pretty well.

used to be afraid to do a backflip, dunno why, but i learned by starting with a lincoln loop and progressively rotating further back each time.

yeah i did this to learn a backflip. then to get the feeling of going more than a backflip when i tried doubles. i almost a double back first try, second try landed on my head and said fuck that. now i don't try any backs hahaha.

but this method does work good as shit.

Yea this happens to me too.. like three times actually.. i do the backwards kip up thing.. but another technique i use is i start sideways like im going to do a lincoln loop, but i trick my self and do a little 90 degree spin

i kicked my ex gf in the face while doing a misty once... gave her a bloody nose. havent tried one since

go search for a girl that can do it. Have her do it in front of you. If you cant do it after watching a girl do it then i would find another lifestyle dude

you could always try the whole bounce up and land on your back then continue the rotation over your head to your feet. then when you get comfortable doing that try a back flip

A backflip is much easier than a frontflip. The fear factor isn't there though, because on a front, when one flips too far there isn't really any problem. It also isn't blind. I forgot before to mention the most important thing on backflips: flip straight up. When I was first learning I did this loooong backflip, that covered a lot of distance. I ended up flipping off the trampoline a few times, and it took me some time to get over that. Literally flip straight up, landing exactly where you take off. When you get good at this you should be able to do a backflip without even jumping, just standing on the trampoline.

have a spotter spot you by

-have one hand of the person on the back of your legs and one hand on your chest

-count to 1....2....3 and bounce a lil more at each number and at the count of 3 do wut u do for your back flip and have that person flip you so it boost your flip all away around.

dont jump back, jump straight up and then flip back. i just started flipping and landing on my face but i got it within a couple of tries. thats how i learned lincolns too

try it like a backhand spring so that you just go for a normal backflip and put your hands up so they will make sure you dont hit your head on the tramp.....

some times i get hella rikter and accidently backflip off of my trampoline into the springs/grass/ground

hahaha me and my friend added him on msn just cause its so funny turns out he snowboards in bc. but ya when he learns how to do a back were getting him to say our names in his video listen for carter and matt.

Ya and also i went to some olympic tramps the other day and im never gonna try a back on them its so scary. I can do perfect back flips on my tramp but i went there and tried a double misty or just a misty with a big spin (I couldn't really tell what i was doing) and i smashed my mouth on my knee and ripped me lip up to near my nose, 6 stitches. Now i dont know if im gonna try anything on a tramp.

yeah dont jump back! lol my friend cleared a 16 foot tramp while doing a backflip, he actually cleared the whole tramp and landed on the ground on the other side, it was actually pretty sick! lol he never tried it again tho, he knows he just got lucky lol

I was really close to land a corked 9 at the beginning of last summer, but I wrecked myself one time and now I cant get nearly as close anymore :(

also the pretty much same thing happened to me with backflips, twice... The trick is that you have to start out with a lincon-loop thrown back. then just start moving closer and closer to a backflip.

is a slip flip.. i just made that name up by the way

if you bend you knees slightly YOU CAN CATCH SOME SERIOUS AIR
