Backflip Trouble

Haven't landed a backflip on skis yet, but I know the rotation. Just spin slower and arc your back more so you can see your landing sooner. That way, you will know if you need to tuck more/less and when tobring your feet back underneath you to complete the rotation and land the flip.

are you looking over one of your shoulders when you throw it? if not just make sure you get a real smooth take off.

video footage is always helpful when trying to figure out the problem so if you're still having trouble borrow someone's camera and we can tell you whats up

wait which way are you spinning?! if its on the vertical axis tuck equals faster spinning, laying it out will slow you down and its pretty much down to practice to know how hard to throw it on a particular jump

swing arms and head straight back and pop. while popping thrust your hips towards the sky like you are trying to fuck the moon. it's about 90% in the hips and keeping your head looking straight back for the landing.

OK to I landed my first one today. But the times after i landed it i kept under rotating and face planting, do i just Huck more or more speed??

no it's not, you're just lazy. just set strait back and you should come around strait

when you come up to the lip, get ready punch upwards with your hands, imagine that your arms are following two parallel tracks, and look directly over your back towards the back of your skis. throwing your arms like this looks retarded, but its a good way to start.

Throw it straight back and pop evenly. Look directly behind you. Keep your head straight and don't twist to either side or look off to either side. That should help you come around straight.

This shows it well.My first backflip was actually on skis.

You just need to arch your back, leave your head centered and just lean back.

I find it helpful to open up my arms once i see the landing, will slow you down.

Once youre comfortable, u wont need to open up ne more.
