Backflip on trampoline

I know there are a million threads on this but I really want to try one and everytime I'm on a tramp I get to scared. Can someone give me the run-down of the trampoline backflip

Can anyone do it if they commit?

If I come up short what will happen/whats the worst that could happen?

How can I work my way up to it?

How I should I jump? The highest possible?

Do I lean back or tuck my legs in?

Should someone spot me my first time?

Well i am hoping that you can do them off a diving board..

any way the trick is to jump and tilt your head way back cause your center of gravity is your ears so where ever they go you go... and also use your arms as momentum.

In addition try not to grab your legs cause I find that it throws me off axis and i cant do them straight..

Try them off a diving board first cause that gives a little more than a tramp, but the worst thing that would happen is you land on your stomache...just try one

haha im in the same boat. i tried one like the first week i got my tramp a while back and landed on my head like 5 times...havent tried one since. i think im doing one tomorrow though because it just pisses me off that im such a pussy. like i can do anything else on a tramp but fucking backflips. fuck im doing one tomorrow this is my proof.

Ill anwser all your questions.

You have to have blond hair, size 10.5 feet, have a taste for lemonaid and be a consistent preacher of buddhism if you want to even start thinking of trying a backflip.

If you land on your head, you land on your head. MY brother did it. He went to the hospital in a stretcher (not a lie).

You can work your way up to it by buying a step ladder. That'll help you get onto the tramp. Then do the trick.

The sky's the limit, so... you can't jump higher then the sky. Sorry. So anywhere between the sky and the tramp is a good height.

To lean back or tuck your legs in. It's always the toughest of decisions. If you just lean back, you'll... fall back. If you just tuck your legs in, you'll look like you wish you had a pool to cannonball into.

Your neighbours might spot you from across the yard. Not sure. Depends if they're outside or not. But being spotted isn't really a necessity.

All your questions are anwsered. Go backflip.

Commit. Tuck. Huck. It's really easy once you get around the first time, even if you don't land it its such a confidence booster and you just go again and again and again.

ight here is my best info i can give you......

I first did my backflip into a foam pit....now everyone may not have this luxery......for your first backflip

1) Make sure you have sufficient enough air (get at least a good 3 feet of air for when you are first learning)

2) Start by throwing your head back, not violently but this will start your flip.....If you keep your head tilted all the way back you will keep rotating....

3) next bring your knees up, this will speed up your flip, I usually grab them but it is just personal preference (you will be sort of in a cannonball position if done correctly)

4) If you dont feel comfortable bringing your knees up just try to arch your back as far as you can.....either one works for me

5) once you get to about 3/4 of the way around just spot your landing and it is free sailing from there

if you have any questions just message me back

are you kidding? trying flips on a tramp is the next easiest thing to water, i stuck my first backflip on a tramp when i was like 9 years old or something

so just go for it, it cant kill if you get anywhere close

is this fer serous? backflips are so much easier than fronts. i did them when iwas like 9 with out even thinking enaything of it

honestly once you do it for the first time its mad easy like i was mad scared then i just gave up being a pussy and they are mad fun. easy trick just jump commit and throw your head back simply if you spot your landing your legs will come around i mean its really not a dangerous trick your just got to commit

dude at first, your gunna like half commit. your going to land on your face/chest and then think hey, that wasnt that bad. then your going to try it again and get closer. you will be ok.

wow, everyone on ns is a complete badass. i mean, c'mon, backflips on a tramp?!?!!? anwyays....

when i first tried them, i was really nervous about the whole thing, the best thing to do is to figure out the way to bounce and then do them.

at first, i tried to just spring back and do them really quick, didn't work too well. if you just bounce really high and then throw yourself backwards, you should just flip completely over and throwdown and flip. its not as hard as you'd think. just commit and throw it like you know whats goodie. you'll be straight.

just commit. after the first time u will be like, wtf? y didnt i just do it earlier. its 50 times easier than a frontflip, just scarier the first time.

go for it

just look back

its like impossible to mess up if you commit

my problem is i landed a couple cork 7s

went inside and know i forgot how to do em :[

i just learned cork 7s...

i spin to the left...all i do is spin about 180 grab the back of my left foot and its smooth sailing...idk

i landed one when i was trying and forgot too, then i went back on that night and couldnt do a 7 without corking! haha it was weird..

yea fronts are harder to do for me too because compared to backflips you can spot your landing when a frontflip you are coming around blind

does anyone have any tips for doing d-spins or bio tricks.....whenever i try em i always never make it all the way around and end up on my side or back......i dont know why but i have trouble getting from being off axis to straight

I used to be good at backflips. But then i fell on my neck and the feet started tingling a bit so ive been scareed to throw my head. I can backflip but i dont use my head at all and i go back like 5 feet. ITS ugly. And bad. Can someone help me?

what you are probably doing is throwing your back out which takes you 5 feet backwards....i did the same thing where you flip but i usually landed on the blue pad over the springs.....what helps is to wait a little longer to lean back and try tilting your head more instead of your upper body this might help

i laerned the easy way a while ago

flip around someones arm and if you dont go all the way he can just flip your legs around

slowely use him less and less like only hold his finger

untill he is just spotting you

this teaches you how to flip in one place and not start at one end land on the other

and it only takes like 10-15 minutes

For the life of me I can't commit to a straight backflip, but i can throw legit back 1s all day long.

The best confidence booster to learn backflips, or claim and attempt one, I find is a sports enhancing/depressing drink. My personal favorite is heineken, usually 6 or 7 and then I've got the energy and the lack of judgement to try anything.

I find bio really easy once you have done them once. It just clicks.

For a bio 5 spinning left.....

start your spin and at about 90-130 dip your right shoulder down. Once you have dipped your right shoulder "roll" onto your left shoulder. literally just roll over like you're rolling on your back. Then for the last 180 come back onto axis. Coming back onto axis, it helps alot if your keep your knees bent up during the roll part. Straight out and you'll prolly land on your back. If you take the spin more inverted it will feel like a 90 to backflip 90. for bio 7 i set the spin very similar but spin a 3 back onto axis
