pop and look back. then bring your knees around. its pretty basic.

you just gotta sack up throw everything back and kick your legs over your head. that just worked for me my first time. i also did a bung on a tramp before i did it on snow. but thats just me

 
just cause u can do a 540 dont mean u can do a backflip

dude it doesnt matter if u can spin a 2600 u just gotta grab ur balls and huck ur meat. throw ur head back and bring ur knees to ur chest then once u start to spot ur landing tuck ur knees up more to spin faster or let them out to slow urself down good luck

ok what those guys said about just grabbing your balls and throwing your head back is the best way to fuck your self up. I just learned backflips this seasson and have done a pretty good amount since. And the first time i tried one i did just that, thew my head back and expected my feet to follow, well i didnt land it and i scared the hell out of my self, and if it werent for the 2 ft of powder my spelling would be ever worse than it alfeady is. So what you need to do is FIRST DEFINATELY LEARNTHEM ON TRAMPS. if you cant do it on a tramp dont even think of trying it on snow. Then when you dropp in be convident, and dont let adrenilen jello out your legs becuase they will need to be firm under ypurself for the pop. When you approve the jump ,shift your weight forward, and at the lip POP AND THEN SET YOU BACKWARD ROTAION WITH YOUR HIPS HEAD AND SHOULDERS. dont set untill you have poped. then keep your eyes open in the air and almost immediately after you set you can see your landing, just keep your eyes focused on your landing, and if youve set the rotaion right you should come right down to your feet. but only try on a big powder day, becuase i can almost guarantee you wont land it first try.

backflip = first real trick i learned

very easy... go to a pool and throw gainers, and then you can def backflip. but just do what lanks said. the key part is bringing the legs back around once your upside down.

Just cos you can 5 doesn't mean you can do backflips. I know a guy who can backflip, frontflip and has pretty much learned lincolns who can barely 180. He's just crazy. It's all about going for it. As soon as I get to a tramp and learn it I'm gonna try one. Go for it.

 
backflips really aren't hard all they take are balls. the thing about them is you can spot your landing the whole time which allows you to tuck up more or open up depending on how big you're throwing it. I hate them on tramps, so you cdon't need to do them on tramps first. throw yourself back, bring your knees to your chest and keep looking.

 
dont listen to Freeski8923, half of what he said is bullshit. i could backflip on skis long before i could on a trampoline, diving board, whatever. you know what a backflip looks like, and if you arent a dumbass, you have some idea on how to do them. just ball up, get a jump with some lip and send her. you should be leaning back before you reach the lip, and then just feel the flip and try and spot a landing.

if you arent a dumbass, you will get the feel for the rotaion on a tramp, which is much lower rick than skis, and then try it.
